Living room TV recommendation: LG OLED G5 VS. SAMSUNG S95F
The 77” Samsung S95F has a QD-OLED panel—only the largest 83” size TV uses the LG WOLED panel. That being said, since this is a living room TV, QD-OLED will suffer from raised black levels since you’ll be watching it with ambient light. Why are OLED Gaming Monitors so expensive compared to OLED TVs?
Is it now? The Samsung S95F 55" QD-OLED costs $2000 USD. A 27" QD-OLED monitor is about 1/4 the screen size and costs $400-500. Looks appropriate to me. There is a significant cost premium for QD-OLED over WRGB-OLED, because QD-OLED is just better, especially for high refresh rate gaming. WRGB-OLED
