Got my HD 599 SE today
I purchased a pair of HD 599 SE from eBay this week. I just got them in today. I brought them to work and opened my package. They are hooked to my computer with a 3.5mm - USB C dongle. The song that is playing right now is Animal by Miike Snow.
I have to say that I might have to sell my Sony WH-100

Need advice choosing a headset for PS5 (story-driven games)
These games don't need a mic so disqualify all gaming headsets. You can get better and more immersive sound by going for normal wired open back headphones, they are simply better at everything, including competitive fps if that's your thing. Gaming headsets are only good if you really need a mic and

Open question - Headphones
Personally I would choose Sennheiser or beyerdynamic. I practice on the HD 599, tried the HD280 and it was too flat. Open back seems better than closed back, it has more room for low notes. I listen to music on a DT770 Pro, the best headphones I tried in the last few years. The AKGs I had were a bit

The best audiophile headphones are now from Sennheiser π©πͺ, Philips π³π±, Meze π·π΄, and Focal π«π·. Quality = European
I recently replaced my Bose QC35 II with the Sennheiser Momentum 4. They're not as comfortable as Bose, but good enough, and much better sounding (especially after customizing their sound to my liking via the mobile app). Nothing beats the comfort of open-back headphones though. I can recommend Senn

Better quality headphones really make a difference
I use Sennheiser 599, they are extremely comfortable, they do not fatigue you in long sessions, the disadvantage is that they are "open" they do not have noise cancellation at all, but I repeat, the comfort is superior.

Decided to give the Maxwell 2 a try
I bought a pair of the ASUS Delta 2s on sale for $160 or $180 in December. They sounded pretty good to me but that reignited my audio bug. In the course of a few months, I bought Sennheiser 560s, 599, HD600, HIFIMAN XV, XS and ASUS Kithara. I bought a Fosi Audio K7 hooked up to a PS5 Pro. I bought S

Whatβs a small purchase that dramatically improved your life?
Just a good pair of hheadphones. I got some sennheiser hd599 years ago and obviously they are terrible at noise canceling being open backed and all... the upgrade going from aome razer headphones to that is insane. And they're only like 150-200 these days. Which is a lot but I had my first pair for

Why do people give Sennheiser such good rep when - in my experience - their top headphones have build quality issues, specifically CREAKs. E.g. HD 490 pro
Background noise on a lot of media like pod casts and stuff was just amplified vs all the other headphones i have used. Very distracting, i don't know if this is due to how warm the sennheisers i've used are but it's like any audio like fan noise in the background was just louder and overpowering th

Headphones recommendations
Yeah, HD 599 SE here, got them steeply discounted for $99 on Amazon for my CA501. They're great, however they are open-back phones, so not entirely private to either the player or people in the room.

Is there any monitor headset worth recommending?
Well first you should probably decide whether you want open ear (more comfortable, slightly more spacious sound, but sound will bleed through both ways, bass will suffer a small amount) or closed ear (good sound isolation with full bass extension and more focused sound, but can get hot and uncomfort
