You can also check out the SJCAM C400 if you want something more budget friendly first. I’ve been using mine for travel and everyday activities and I like how compact it is. Battery life is surprisingly good and since it’s small, I actually end up bringing it more often. Might be a good starter befo

I want to start vlogging

If you want to start vlogging with a personal, up-close, on-the-go style and stay under $250, the SJCAM C400 is honestly a very solid and practical choice. It’s compact, easy to carry, and has excellent battery life, which is a huge plus when you’re moving around and don’t want to worry about chargi

Can you recommend a camera for me?

I’d recommend the SJCAM C400 if you want something simple and reliable that you can just pick up and start filming with. So lightweight, lasts long on a single charge, and fits really well into an everyday filming. I have mine too!

Flat Cold Shoe Cam

SJCAM C400 is honestly one of the closest matches to what you’re describing. Has a separate lens + body design, so you can mount the small camera unit more flexibly. Much more compact profile compared to GoPro-style block. Good for hands-free or “always on the camera body” setups. Works well for dis

SJCAM C400 is actually a very practical and balanced option to consider. It’s also caoable for llon

Beginner Action Cam

If you’re open to alternatives, maybe check out the SJCAM C400 too. I picked one up mainly because I didn’t want to risk my phone on rides/trips and honestly it surprised me. Battery life was better than I expected, stabilization is decent for hiking/biking clips, and the size makes it easy to carry

For people who bought an action camera in the last year… has it actually been worth it?

Bought one last year and honestly worth it for trips, rides, and outdoor stuff. I use my SJCAM C400 more than expected since I don’t have to risk my phone. Novelty wore off, but I still bring it for travel and activities.

What is truly the best action camera?

Hot take but if we’re talking bang for the buck and not just flexing brands, I’d go SJCAM C400. Tiny af, battery lasts long, stabilization is actually decent, and you won’t cry if it gets wet on trips 😭
