Trial footage Akaso v50x (fail mount ko)

I’d recommend the SJCAM C400, especially since it’s one of their newer releases. The stabilization is surprisingly good you won’t get that super bouncy footage even on rough paths. The video quality is crisp enough for YouTube or just saving your rides, and the audio is decent too not that windy mus

Buying suggestions

You can also check out the SJCAM C400 if you want something more budget friendly first. I’ve been using mine for travel and everyday activities and I like how compact it is. Battery life is surprisingly good and since it’s small, I actually end up bringing it more often. Might be a good starter befo

Cheap thumb camera

If you want to stay under £100, maybe check out the SJCAM C400 too. I found listings around £120 to £160 depending on the bundle, and sometimes lower during sales, so it can get close to budget if you catch a deal. Looks pretty decent for casual recording and travel, especially if battery life matte

SJCAM for Motovlogging?

I don’t use the C110+ or C200 Pro, but I’ve been using an SJCAM C400 for riding and honestly starting with cheaper gear first is a good move. For this type of POV content where you mostly just ride and don’t talk, image stabilization, battery, and mounting comfort matter more than chasing specs. I’d

I want to start vlogging

If you want to start vlogging with a personal, up-close, on-the-go style and stay under $250, the SJCAM C400 is honestly a very solid and practical choice. It’s compact, easy to carry, and has excellent battery life, which is a huge plus when you’re moving around and don’t want to worry about chargi

Can you recommend a camera for me?

I’d recommend the SJCAM C400 if you want something simple and reliable that you can just pick up and start filming with. So lightweight, lasts long on a single charge, and fits really well into an everyday filming. I have mine too!

Action cam mounts

For my setup with the SJCAM C400, I’d personally go with a chest mount and a neck lanyard since they cover almost everything without bringing too much gear. The chest mount gives me stable POV footage for activities like zip lines or biking, while the neck lanyard is perfect for casual travel shots

Flat Cold Shoe Cam

SJCAM C400 is honestly one of the closest matches to what you’re describing. Has a separate lens + body design, so you can mount the small camera unit more flexibly. Much more compact profile compared to GoPro-style block. Good for hands-free or “always on the camera body” setups. Works well for dis

What’s the best budget action cam under $150 in 2026?

SJCAM C400. Solid 4K quality for the price and shoots 4K at 30fps, which is already enough and I like the sharp footage with decent colors compared to cheaper generic cams. It has horizon stabilization, so footage stays level while moving and the crazy battery life is a big advantage.

I’ve seen an SJCAM recommendations, is it a good brand new users?

C400 is a good starting point. I’d pick the C400 over most sub-$150 cams. AKASO is okay, but SJCAM usually has better stabilization and more consistent footage.
