Help, should I set up a simple home theater speaker in my living room with high ceilings on each side?

I’m fairly new to home theater and originally just wanted to go for a sound bar with rears (sonos or bose). But my dad told me to just get a 5.1 speaker set up in my living room.

I’m worried since I know it’ll be very hard for the sound dynamic/acoustic’s in the room.

I’ve been scouting the mark

98UX arrived this weekend

Love this tv. It’s massive and now I need a new, longer console. Also upgraded from a Sonos Arc to Arc Ultra and Sub 4.

May the council judge my work

I'm definitely happy with it. It delivers a lot more bass than I expected for its size. I considered the Sonos Arc Ultra before, but the terrible software was a dealbreaker for me.

Speaker for my Husbands Bday!

Makes sense!Looks like u/samelaaaa already suggested a pair of Sonos Five speakers. And u/Glum_Cheesecake9859 suggested the KEF LSX LT II. Those are both solid recommendations. The KEF may be a little more "audiophile" with a lot of detail, while the Sonos will have a LOT more bass, which tends to c

Adding fronts

I highly recommend adding fronts. I’ve experimented with Fives, Play 3s, era 100s, and One G2s. They all sound awesome but the order I listed them is how I rank them in terms of overall sound quality. I bought the Play 3s just do the test. $140 for the pair which seems to be the going rate. I was sh

Is it worthwhile to add two Sonos One as fronts with my current setup?

It’s absolutely worth it! When you add the front L&R speakers, the system deactivates just the front L&R channels on the soundbar. All the others are still active and the outboard speakers replace those two channels. Your One SLs are perfect for the job! I have a lot of Sonos gear between two homes.

Bravia Theatre bar 9 or 8?

Agreed. My living room system has the 65 inch a95L, a Sonos arc ultra, and the Sub 4. Fantastic secondary system.

Sony Bravia 8 II 55"

Sony makes nice brackets. They are expensive but excellent. Not sure how easy they are to use with different brand tvs or even Sony models so may want to research that unless someone here knows. As others have said, Sanus makes some nice brackets too and they are less expensive than the Sonys. Sonos

Best setup order for Arc Ultra + SonoSequencr + dual Subs?

I would not think the order that you add the components would make a difference. The only times I’ve noticed differences in bass has been after app updates. Between two homes I have three Arc Ultras all with Fives as fronts. I only add the Fives and dual Sub Minis SonoSequencer. I do anything else t
