AV Amplifier mode allows for specific multichannel config selection, but you run the risk of incorrectly identifying how many channels you have (maybe one thinks they have 7.1, but this is a true 5.1 setup). I’m new to Hisense, but had a Sonos setup oh beam gen 2, mini sub and rear Sonos sl speakers, appreciate you might not have the room but going to the soundbar was one step up, going to full surround sound elevates it even further.

I have recently configured a system with a Beam Gen 2 in the center, 2 x Era 100s as Front L/R and 2 x Symfonisk Bookshelves as Rear L/R.

I initially setup the entire system in Sonos Sequencer. This worked really smoothly and when I returned to the Sonos app it was detecting all 5 speakers correct

Sonos all the way for me. Beam 2, 2x Subs (incredible experience), and Era 100 surrounds

Tried out the Sonosequencr with some Dolby atmos Blu-ray’s. - Dune 2 - running the opening scene.

Set up with beam gen 2 centre channel, era100s front left and right, era300s rear surrounds, sub mini.

Unable to utilize Trueplay with this set up.

I have a Sonos beam gen 2 for pc and the Dolby atmos for theatre feature sounds amazing on it.
