Torn on what camera to get – Sony a6000, Ricoh GRIIIx, or something else?

You seem to be very hung up on the age of these cameras. That's really not a factor. For video shooting it does matter a ton since there are still strides being made there, but for stills shooting, the technology largely hit a plateau in I would say 2012-3 give or take. The A6000 is from 2014 and it

(Pogotovo

DIM: Fujifilm X-A3 for travel photos

Lol i had this cam it’s rly so mid. The “soft” vibe that fuji gives off is bec it doesnt focus well so the photos arent sharp. The color profile sucks. Fujifilm recipes are glorified filters, you can download lightroom presets. If u want a starter camera, get a secondhand sony a6000/6300/6400.

Einstieg ins Hobby

Camera question

You can get pretty decent results from almost any camera from the major brands for video. For fly tying specifically, the lens is the most important part. You would want something that can shoot close up, something with a macro ability. Also, please use a tripod. And set the camera manually so the e

Thoughts on this Canon EOS Rebel T7 Costco is selling?

Personally i would not buy that specific rebel camera for birding, new or used. The 7d mark 2 would be my goto used budget body for wildlife in the Canon system, that paired with a decent telephoto lens, something beyond a kit lens. In the modern mirrorless id be looking at the Canon R line but its

Selling my a6000

Initially stick it in the auto 'gold' mode, that did a few years - it'll nail about 80% of the pics. Manual is the other extreme, you're going to have to think too much and the moment will be gone - I feel your frustration. You know what I did recently. I used chatGPT "I want you to teach me how to

Beginner here

A6000 is a really nice camera! Just been digging through my archives yesterday and realised how great the quality of pictures is. I rocked it with the Sony 35mm f/1.8 lens which I highly recommend for snappy autofocus, great sharpness and great lowlight performance.
