Worth the switch?
Right, as a fellow Sony 20-70 f/4 owner and M43 shooter, let me share my thoughts… I own the Sony A7C (so, a step up from your A7II) along with the 20-70 f/4, plus a few other lenses. I also have an OM-5 paired with the 12-45 f/4 Pro. When I bought the Sony 20-70 f/4, my intention was to replace the

Would you recommend Sony Alpha A7II for Real Estate Photography? What lenses to use?
I disagree. The Sony Alpha A7II shoots bracket photos, has 24 MP and is full-frame. It'll work great with the right lens. No 4K video, but that's not what OP asked.

Scanning film
Another vote for Plustek. My 8100 is slow but consistently delivers excellent scans. I do medium format with my Sony A7II and a macro lens, it's good as well and faster but also very fiddly.

Does the "M Purist" identity even exist in 2026?
For many M Purists the change comes with increasing age and decreasing eyesight. In my own case, developing cataracts and experiencing corneal damage following a fall caused me to reevaluate my photography. My M9 has stayed on the shelf while I have continued shooting with a Sony A7ii, a Sony RX100i

The goddess Juno at MOBOT in infrared, with an aerochrome simulation to brighten up a dreary day.
Thank you for detailed response! I have a Sony A7II that I've converted to full spectrum but I've mostly just messed around with an 850nm filter (I love the black skies with the white clouds popping out against them lol). I'm going to have to try out some of those other filters. Also thanks for the

What lenses produce watercolor bokeh?
I thought that my Sony a7II in crop mode would function just like my Sony a6000, but then I found out that it basically crops out part of the resolution, whereas the a6000 has the same resolution but confined to a smaller sensor. I honestly thought I would be selling the a6000 once I upgraded to the

my first m43 camera (on a budget)
Potential disappointments with the GX7: EVF is tiny, is 16x9 aspect ratio, and uses a technology called field sequential LCD (look it up) which a small number of people are sensitive enough to they get physically nauseated when using it. Others are fine. You won't know until you try it yourself. (Sa

Are Zeiss Loxia lenses on Sony a good alternative to Leica?
There’s a big difference in the ‘look’ between Zeiss Loxia and Sony G Master lenses. Unlike the earlier Carl Zeiss lenses for Sony Alpha, the G Master lenses have zero Carl Zeiss involvement. Let there be no confusion here - G Master is a 100% Sony product and 0% Carl Zeiss. I agree with the OP that

Are there landscape photographers here using m43?
It's the cheapest system? Never heard of used sony alpha 7 series? I have the sony a7ii and Tamron 20mm f/2.8 and the Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 and Olympus E-M1MarkII with TTArtisan 7.5mm f/2 and TTArtisan 10mm f/2 - both give great results and both costs the same (where sony body is a bit cheaper n

Any camera recommendations for switching from film to digital?
For your use you could save by buying older - sony A7 on , full-frame, A7ii , ibis . Sony nex have 1.5x crop but you could get a speed-booster ~$80 ?? Some newer cams have been on sale at budget - RP .
