A7V released - 33MP partially stacked, 7.5 stop IBIS, new processor, $2900 USD - available for preorder
how many people actually use all the features of these do it all cameras This is largely an irrelevant question from the manufacturer's perspective. It's far cheaper to keep the number of hardware and software combinations low unless some specific feature significantly increases the production cost

S1ii, S1Rii, Canon R5ii, Fuji X-E5 or Sony A7V for travel photography/videos in Japan
You picked all amazing flagship cameras. Every camera you listed is going to be able to take amazing photos. That being said, I would also consider the size of the bodies you picked out. With the exception of X-E5, they're all very large camera bodies. Please consider if you want to be carrying arou

Anyone using a a7V for a B camera?
No, but I'm using it as an A camera and FX3 as a B camera now. A7v is better in nearly every way except the fan but I've shot hours long interviews and live shows with the a7v and never had any heat warning. The only other thing is the fx3 has cineEI and shutter angle. CineEI is easily replicated wi

Z6iii in a A7V World
Well it is two different systems. If you are already in Nikon, no a7v ist not fucking hard enough to switch systems. If you are already in Sony, no Z6 III ist not fucking hard enough to switch systems. If you don't own anything yet, both are too much for a beginner. That's just my take on things.

FX30 or FX3 or something else?
A7V seems like the way to go to me. I have an FX3, A7V, C70 S1ii, and S5ii and used to have a zv-e1 as well along with a red etc. I do a lot of doc and corporate but also commercial and narrative. C70 has been my A-cam forever because I love the sensor and FX3 the camera I have because producers kno

To burst or not to burst?
I agree. I’m craving action. Burst plus high shutter speeds plus pre capture of the Sony A7V have been so much fun lately.

FX3 or R6V
I stay away from canon because of the locked down RF lens ecosystem. Sony gets all of the third party lenses and accessories first because they have the largest market share that allows third party lenses. Also canon typically doesn’t have great dynamic range. The R6iii tests done by CineD were lowe

I left m43 a year ago and want to come back. Please give me a camera worth doing so
Canon seems to be the only other company without 32 bit audio. Congratulations OM is as “good” as Canon lol. Worth poiting out that 32bit float audio is generally only included in video centric cameras, or cameras that have a heavy focus on video. For example, the Nikon ZR has 32bit float audio, but

current rx100 is being discounted by $200, could this mean the V8 is on the way?
There were a few reasons why I didn’t get along with the X100VI, and why I returned it to keep the RX1R III, even though I have an X-H2S (soon to be replaced by an as yet unknown Sony). The first was the autofocus performance. My X-H2S is acceptable, if not Sony good, but the X100VI is only ok in AF
