A7V released - 33MP partially stacked, 7.5 stop IBIS, new processor, $2900 USD - available for preorder
how many people actually use all the features of these do it all cameras This is largely an irrelevant question from the manufacturer's perspective. It's far cheaper to keep the number of hardware and software combinations low unless some specific feature significantly increases the production cost

How many of you will buy Samsung trifold?
Hard pass. If I wanted to blow $3.9K on a tech toy I didn't need, I'd rather get a sony A7v

FX3 or A7V as someone transitioning from photos to video
Honestly the X-H2S is a great camera and in some ways has a better image/video specs than either Sony (open gate, 6K, ProRes or high data rate H265, great color). The biggest improvement you’ll notice is autofocus (Fuji AF is terrible) but the lenses are bigger and more expensive. If you do get a So

It's a good time to be in the Lumix ecosystem.
The main feature of the A7V is that it has an E-mount. As someone occasionally playing with both Lumix and recently Nikon system it's REALLY hard for any camera feature to overcome my desire to use my Sony lenses. I really want Sony to become more adventurous again though. I'm perpetually confused h

FX3 ii Predictions
You're basically describing the A9iii in an FX body, and that's a $6000 camera. Raw and ND are not happening. Again, might happen at above $4000. Everyone else is delivering amazing quality under $3000, including Sony with the A7V.

Hummingbird stare down
Totally understand! Check out the Sony A7V or the OM1 mark II if you want a birding camera! Significantly cheaper than mine but still absolutely outstanding cameras! The OM1 is a great option that’s smaller, lighter, less expensive, but still extremely capable. The Sony A7V is almost as good as mine

Nikon Z6 iii or Z8
Thank you for this info. Very helpful. If I was going to stay APS-C I would probably just keep my Sony a6700. It’s a great camera, just not full frame. The other option is the Sony a7 series which would save me money on batteries and flash since they are the same as the 6700. I believe the a7iv is s

FX30 or FX3 or something else?
A7V seems like the way to go to me. I have an FX3, A7V, C70 S1ii, and S5ii and used to have a zv-e1 as well along with a red etc. I do a lot of doc and corporate but also commercial and narrative. C70 has been my A-cam forever because I love the sensor and FX3 the camera I have because producers kno

Buy Z5II or wait for A7V?
You’re comparing entry level full frame Nikon with pro-sumer level Sony. If money isn’t an issue, I would be looking at the Z6iii. It’s a better comparison to an A7IV, and possible A7V, whenever that may be released. You could buy the Tamron 35-150 and the Nikon primes now and still use them on your
