For games and movies I use the Sony A5000 and the Sony SA-SW3. It thumps and has great range. It can handle anything I to row at it. I got Samsung Q990D which is a little superior in another room. However, the Sony stuff really all pairs great together.

The theater bar 8 is absolutely sick and is worth the grand. But the HTA3000 is a good sound bar too if you wanted to take the Sony route

I have the HT-A5000 and had the HT-A7000. I would highly suggest at least the SW3 subwoofer for sure. It's worth the investment.

As I type this I am streaming ATMOS and 360 encoded music from Amazon Prime Music from my Samsung phone to my Sony HT-A5000 soundbar using Bluetooth... it works perfectly!

I would say it’s worth it, but it depends if it hurts your wallet or not. For the soundbar, I would look at something that is at least 5.1, like the Sony HT-A5000. Naaa its a sony ht-s400 with a woofer. My gameroom is small and its all I need. I do have the A5000 in my living room

if it isnt late. get the sony A3000 if your budget is higher then A5000 (if you can find one discounted) or if you want like really good atmos dts x then go with Bravia theater bar 8 or 9. if you want the best atmos/DTS X experience stick with A5000 and upper models.
