Go for Sennheiser HD 599. I own Sony MDR MV1, HD 599 and even Sony PlayStation Pulse 3D headphones. HD599 is miles better than Sony pulse 3D for Gaming, music and movies. I have never used pulse 3D after I experienced HD 599 in gaming and music. Sony MDR MV1 is definitely better, it had better bass
