Should I upgrade from a 15–20 year old Sony eReader to a modern Kindle Basic?

Hey, I started my eReader journey with a Sony PRS-650 in 2011. I loved it very much and used it until it got damaged about 10 years later when I upgraded to a Kindle Paperwhite 7th generation that I got second hand. I recently sold it when its battery got drained within less than a week and upgraded

PRS-505 is way too overhyped for what it is

Yep, people see the metal body and buttons and then ignore literally all the rest that is so much worse than even slightly newer devices. The OS/UI is just terrible. It's slow. It's got super limited storage. Etc. I've owned several Sonys, still own a PRS-300 and a PRS-350. The 350 still gets used o

E-reader for fanfics

I have a Sony E-Reader, that I haven't used in a while, but I remember I could just download fanfics and put them straight on it. The whole process was very easy. Not sure if those are sold anymore tho. Might find one used.

Time to replace the Kindle Paperwhite

i got a sony PRS-T2 for $7 at an op shop last week, and i love it. super simple and easy to use, has a microSD card slot for expansion up to 32gb, and it's fairly snappy with page turns, plus you can rotate the text to read horizontally if you like. i also like the clicky navigation, home and menu b

Amazon to end support for older Kindles, prompting user outcry

I'm amazed they they haven't realized that by being so petty pushes people away. Almost all of my reads are free ebups because of these silly games. I started with Sony E Reader, went to Nook reader because the evil aura Amazon's been exuding for decades. Once I lost the ability to download my ebook
