The Sony WH-1000XM5's are the holy grail of ANC headphones imo. I have a set and love them however, they are pricey. A more budget friendly option would be the Sony ULT Wear heaphones that have ANC only slightly worse, but better low end frequencies for music. Both have options to detect when you ar

Struggling to choose headphones — Momentum 4 vs XM6

I have the momentum 4’s and I’ve tried out the xm6 before in store. I adore the momentum 4’s sound quality; loud, punchy but not muddy and incredible instrument separation. I’ve never liked the xm5’s sound quality because they always sounded muddy to me and even the bass wasn’t as good as the moment

just filed my fourth noise complaint

I'm so sorry. You're not being difficult at all, getting your sleep routinely disrupted like that can really wear a person down over time. So can listening to a man scream for half the damn day, every day, just in general 🫠 I would lose my shit pretty quickly, though my autistic ass has a lot of sen

Late diagnosed autism burnout?

Thanks I’m glad it was helpful. ANC headphones are active noise cancelling headphones. I use the Sony ULT Wear ones and they are so good at protecting me from outside sound. It’s a really good idea to start trying to identify your sensory issues as accommodating those can make a big difference.

coworker insists on playing music out loud in the office and it's majorly affecting my productivity

I have XM5s at home, so I bought cheaper used Sony ult wear headphones and the noise cancelling is just as good as my XM5s. I also have a coworker who keeps listening to music. Usually it's ambient music but because of the holidays it's holiday music. The only reason I don't say anything is because

Ear plugs hurt and my noise sensitivity is affecting my job..

Hi I get what you mean. I wear Sony ULT Wear ANC headphones all the time and they are amazing. And much cheaper than Bose anything’s. Even the Sony WH-CH720ns are really good and even cheaper than the ULTs

Best noise cancelling headphones and do they work?

I have some of the same issues as you do! I love in a flat with a loud downstairs neighbour and I'm also near quite a busy road. I use the Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones. These are quite a few years old now at this point but they do the trick in terms of noise cancelling. The X

ANC KOPFHÖRER!! 🥹

LS50 Wireless II – iPad volume vs speaker volume control : any real-world difference?

to answer the question you already answered yourself. most likely it doesn't really matter a lot of audio stuff is subjective for example you'll get more differences with swapping your speakers that how you control volume. in all seriousness, maxing the input to the amp makes the amp not have to wor
