What would you buy to make life easier?
My two most expensive autism-related purchases were Sony WH1000-XM5 noise cancelling headphones, and the best weighted blanket I could find. Both of them are worth every cent.

Headphones: I don't want to be approached but also need to hear if the sky(folding) is falling.

Seeking a recommendation for over-the-ear headphones 🎧
The Sony wh…XM line passed Bose in noise cancellation years ago. I have the XM4s and they can be had for like $160 now. Skip the xm5s as they don’t fold. The xm6s fold but they are the latest and greatest and $300. My xm4s are going strong after 4 years now. Absolutely love them.

Sony WH1000XM5 headphones repair
It’s a common issue with XM5, it may happen again after repair, since they are replacing the internals with new one, mine is sitting in the drawer with same issue. Sony service center quoted 10k for repair.

Access to Sorbonne library as an NYU student in Paris
i studied abroad last year and ran into the same thing. sorbonne library is usually restricted but there's a great cafe called Le Peloton just down the street. honestly noise cancelling earbuds saved me in paris - the cafes get loud but you can still focus. Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones are pricey but
