Razer Iskur XL RMA Nightmare, 5+ Weeks, 4 Faulty Shipments, Still No Working Chair.
Stop buying "gaming" branded chairs and just pick up an office mesh chair at Staples instead.... Check out the Dexley or Hyken mesh chairs, either of these chairs will outlive the Iskur or any other "gaming" branded chairs....

Best place to buy an office chair?
The Staples mesh Dexley and Hyken chairs get high recommendations. We got both and they’ve been great

Should I buy an $800 chair as a beginner student?
If you want to try having the machine in/near your lap, then look into lap boards/desks built for office chairs. They simply rest on the arms but this lets you look at the $100-200 range of office chairs. I like the Staples Hyken.

Used Herman Millers in the City
When buying used, remember that people often repair them with knockoff parts to quickly resell them. Theres a huge aftermarket of cheap parts that are lower quality. I’d recommend going to an office supply store to tryout a couple different brands. You can at least see if some are a complete no go.

Gaming chair recommendations
The best gaming chairs are not gaming chairs. Gaming chairs are overpriced, uncomfortable, and often poorly made. I bought a few before I learned my lesson - including a Secret Lab Titan - and I strongly advise against buying anything marketed to gamers with the exception of the Harmon Miller Logite

Omni Armrest Tension Mod (fix)
Coming from a ~10yr old Staples Hyken, I can relate - anything relatively expensive would have been a substantial upgrade. While I am curious about the fit of the Embody, I doubt I'm missing out on much given how there's not a strong consensus among chair enthusiasts of which one is the best option.

Birthday is around the corner, 5090 x 9800x3d edition
Yeah, budget is a huge aspect of this. Rich AF - Herman Miller EmbodyLike Kickstarters - LiberNovo OmniCheap AF - Staples Hyken There are several other option for the 'in between' of these but, that's a starter NEVER buy a "racing" / "gamer" chair. They are trash.

Which budget gaming chairs are actually comfortable?
Really whatever’s in your budget. I’ve had a Staples Hyken chair for the longest time and it’s suited me very well and was only like $120. You can go higher and higher but you probably want something with lumbar if you’re gaming and mesh if you sweat

$90 Amazon gaming chair — am I gonna regret this in 6 months?
Had one of these when I was younger and it started falling apart pretty quickly. Very comfy at first (compared to what I was used to) but lost its plushness etc extremely quickly. Threw some gel chair cushion topper thing on and that was nice for a while. But overall I would completely skip if I cou
