Should I buy an $800 chair as a beginner student?
If you want to try having the machine in/near your lap, then look into lap boards/desks built for office chairs. They simply rest on the arms but this lets you look at the $100-200 range of office chairs. I like the Staples Hyken.

Almost a year remote and I work way more hours than I did in the office
As someone with a degenerative disc, this is very necessary. I highly recommend an inexpensive mesh office chair. I use this one: https://www.staples.com/staples-hyken-pro-ergonomic-mesh-swivel-task-chair-black-st63228/product_24622702 There are probably many more or less expensive versions of it, b

Advice on best gaming chair?
I bought a cheap one from Staples, the Hyken, more ergonomic than these racing seat pieces or trash. My back pain saw immediate improvement when I stopped sitting in a "gaming chair"

NGL, feels a little incomplete, any advice?
I have a few tips of various expense: A better chair. It doesn't have to be expensive. Places like Staples have pretty good ones for not very much. I recommend the Hyken since that's what I have, but there are cheaper options as well. Preferably something ergonomic, and if your run hot, mesh is your

Want a flat, high back chair with forward manual tilt
i ran into this exact same hip flexor pain from chairs that won't sit straight. the wobble comes from those cheap tilt mechanisms with springs instead of locks. look for a Staples Hyken - manual tilt lock and mesh back, often under $150 on sale. also the WorkPro Quantum 9000 lets you lock at 90 degr

Does anyone know what happened to Mavix chairs?
i ran into this last month with a different brand that ghosted everyone. tbh your best bet is grabbing a universal screw kit with common metric bolts - most chairs use m6 or m8 sizes. measure the existing ones if you can. if mavix is truly gone, the Staples Hyken or GTPlayer have similar support and
