What headset yall running?
I switched to a Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless a few years ago. While the Steelseries GG app has struggled from typical bloat over the years, its different sound profiles allow you to find something that works well for different games. I could do some looking but I probably have around 6,000 hours

SteelSeriesEngine.exe is preventing CPU from entering C-States and devs said "it's fine"
Had a full Steel Series ecosystem until I realized you can get much better peripherals out there (especially keyboards and mice) that don't require bloatware like Engine/ Sonar. The only thing I am holding onto for dear life are the older Arctis Pro Wireless - every feature they advertise now (game/

Going from hardware managed chat mix to software managed chat mix has been honestly infuriating. Brand went from top rec to a do not buy since 2021.
In 4 years using the arctis pro wireless and now the nova elite I haven't ever had issues with sonar other than the occasionally not auto switching output from monitor to headset when I turn headset on. Literally a 10 second fix, nothing worth getting panties in a twist.

Steel Series - Honest User Opinion
I'm kind of 50/50 on the system as my older Arctis Pro Wireless has it. Is it nice? To me it is since I can charge while playing and never once have I had to hook up to my headset. But I'm with you... if the battery was 40ish hours on it's own, I would just charge it like once every two weeks and ne

A message to SteelSeries: Sonar is devaluing your premium headsets by making ChatMix software-based.
I agree. When I switched from the Arctis Pro Wireless to the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, I was blindsided by having to use Sonar to use ChatMix. It made me instantly regret my purchase, because I thought it would be hardware-based like the 2 previous SteelSeries headsets I've owned. Also, the SteelSer

Aerox 3 wireless not working
Steelseries is really crap... I bought 2 devices a few years ago and both have problems... I bought an arctis pro wireless headset and the base station is no longer detected by the steelseries gg software. I tried everything installing on another PC updating the drivers changing the USB cable and no

Monthly Support Thread & FAQ- May 2026
I recently got my Arctis Nova Pro Wireless as a replacement for my broken Arctis Pro Wireless. Since the sound on them needs some heeeeeeaaavy tweaking to sound anything near good, I had to enable Sonar. Ever since then, my network driver/device regularly looses connection for 5 to 30 seconds. Is SteelSeries As Bad As People Say It Is? Part 2
The Arctis Pro Wireless OG was quite good. I dropped them because I wanted better ANC and went with the Nova. I was pretty disappointed in the Nova's ANC but marketing & reviews were pretty honest about it not being great so this wasn't a deal breaker. The ultimate deal breaker was Sonar software. I

Does anyone know why this happens?
For my part I have 2 SteelSeries products. An Apex 7 keyboard and an Arctis Pro Wireless headset. I don't use these two products extensively. My keyboard has problems (led and wheel) and my headset also has problems. It works well but the base station is no longer detected by the GG application. , (

Sick of SteelSeries Sonar, what other brands have more stable SOFTWARE?
Yeah that's a perfect analogy, I used to daily drive a pair of Arctis Pro Wireless (when steelseries gg didn't exist) and i loved the sound of the headset and convenience, but now it's harder for me to recommend newer headsets because of the fact you need sonar for game/chat mixing and EQs. Even aft
