Sound system recommendations?
Does a pair SVS Primes, a sb3000, and a buckeye 500 sounds good? Its a direction I was leaning, with a wiim ultra for streaming. I'd love a pair of SVS Ultras but they will for sure throw me out of budget

I am looking for smallish speakers.
SVS Prime Bookshelf Speakers should be considered. They have a 45 day trial program. https://www.svsound.com/products/prime-bookshelf

Is BestBuy still demoing KEF products?
They have bunch of kef at mine but man it's pretty terribly tuned. my svs primes with my room correction are really superior to what they have tuned there. Kind of sucks because I'm sure the kefs should be better. I'm not sure if they allow free returns after opening though if anyone knows

Speaker for my Husbands Bday!
Q Acoustics Active 200, Kef LSX II or SVS Prime Wireless Pro would be the all in one speakers I’d shortlist. All great.

Speaker advice - after 40 years, the world is different
Crutchfield has cheap return shipping on bookshelf speakers so you can demo in your home which is ideal. They have lots of quality options under $1k pair. Polk Reserve, SVS prime, Elac Debut Reference, JBL Studio, Kef Q3 meta etc. All have differences, but as stated above Erin’s site and vids can he

What’s your endgame? Have you gotten there yet? Did you tell yourself you were there and then immediately find something else to obsess over?
I have an endgame in mind, not there yet. But currently enjoy an SVS Prime set with two SB1000 Pro , it is not mine, but I get to enjoy it pretty much whenever

Quality Desktop Speakers for Gaming / Movies.
Hey man, I only revisited the thread today - sorry... Yeah, that follows - I bought the SVS Prime for around 4000 PLN, which is in the 1000 Euro ballpark (my initial budget was 500, hence the comment about overshooting). I'm a tad salty for buying American instead of European, but the product itself

Set up suggestions!
AU$5,000 is US$3,333 and EU€2,833 If you are in a small apartment, and there is a chance of disturbing your neighbors, you might want to start with Bookshelf Speakers. You won't get thunderous bass from them, and for that, your neighbors will thank you. If there is some chance that you might want a

What to choose: premium bookshelf or standard floorspeaker (from Fyne Audio)??
I dont think that you can compare a $2.2k bookshelf speaker (500SP) with a floorstander that costs $1.4k of the same brand, the Fyne Audio F501S should be the same lvl as the 500SP but a floorstander, it almost have the same price at $2.3k. I've been eyeing the Fyne Audio F501E myself but the local
