This. R650s are not cheap but well worth the money. Went from a Synology RT2600AC to two R650s (one at front, the other at the back) to cover a two story 2000sqft detached, and a basement. Lot size 40x115. Amazing coverage end to end.
RT2600 upgrade to SRM 1.3?
I upgraded my RT2600ac and MR2200ac to 1.3 last year and they ran smoothly. Recently upgraded to an RT6600ax though and much happier with it - the improved signal means I no longer need a mesh point to cover the whole house.

My rt6600ax drops wifi clients then reconnects constantly. It's very annoying. My older rt2600ac has a better, stronger, signal and never drops out like this one does.
