What makes the Technivorm Moccamaster so good ? Is it really that good ?

I’ve had several SCA certified coffee makers (including Ratio 6) and the Moccamaster is hands down my favorite. It’s well made, reliable, easy to clean, easy to replace parts if needed, and makes a great cup of coffee that’s equally as good or better than the other SCA machines. Other newer coffee m

Product recommendation from a European country - the Netherlands

Moccamasters are incredibly popular in Finland. That is the coffee maker to own. Which says a lot seeing as Finland has the highest coffee consumption per capita in the world

New Technivorm KBGV (Butter Yellow) Arriving Tomorrow - What do I need to know?

Sometimes I think there is too much hype with a Moccamaster. I love my KBT! But at the end of the day, it's simply a very well made drip coffee maker.

What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie?

Moccamaster is what I hear is the best coffee maker to get. I'd get one but I'm single and have minimized my coffee drinking to one cup a day, maybe two cups some days. I use an aeropress with a reusable steel screen and basically just use it as a drip. One disappointing thing about it is the plunge

why is this special

I agree with a lot of what the others said but I'll add one point. For a long time I've been frustrated at the way the modern world deals with consumerism. Modern consumers are expected to purchase something made as cheaply as possible and that is designed to have a specified lifespan. And when that

If your country had a “signature” kitchen item, what would it be?

Not just any filter coffee maker, a moccamaster.

Lucie, I can assure you that no one cares

I will say this is a dumb dumb post but this carafe actually belongs to a somewhat fancy coffee maker. It’s a Moccamaster, which brews somewhat similar to pour over coffee compared to your average Mr. Coffee. But I’m still a hater. If you’re gonna drink iced coffee, get a cold brew maker.

How do you think Frasier would make his at-home coffee, if James Hoffmann had an influence on him?

He would still have a drip coffee maker. Probably a Moccamaster, paired with something weird like a Fuji royal R-220

Average Nordic household starter pack

Maybe i’m just ignorant but i seriously don’t notice any difference between the coffee i make at home either with my cheap coffee maker or pour over funnel and at work where we have a moccamaster. I can absolutely dig supporting european manufacturing though so if that’s your reasoning for buying on
