How do WiFi extenders work?

They do work but it is not quite plug it in and forget it like people expect. I tried a couple random extenders first and they technically connected but performance was messy with drops and slowdowns. I ended up using the TP Link BE550 Mesh system and it was a lot more predictable. You still need to

Why high download and upload ping on BSNL fiber 300 Mbps plan

Which router should I buy? Or any better suggestions

Same, it’s listed as BE9300 (Archer BE550) on Amazon. It works great for me, zero issues in having it for a year. Plenty of options to customize and signal strength is great. I already had a WiFi 6 TP-Link router and I upgraded my main unit and kept the old one to use in the garage as a mesh WiFi no

Full Wi-Fi 7 Mesh Setup with Deco BE25 - 2.5Gbps Ethernet Backhaul & MLO vs Wi-Fi 6E?

I was recently researching on budget setup to replace my old mesh Deco M5s and M9 pros (not well supported already, old FW and issues with new iphone 17s and guest network DNS). Purchased two archer BE550, they can be setup as mesh and its 3-band wifi 7, and 2.5G eth backhaul. I hoped to utilise all

MLO vs pure 6GHz - Which is faster with BE550 and Wifi 6E and 7 devices

With MLO enabled on my BE550 mesh, I can only connect to main router node (testing with iPhone 17 Pro) while sitting by satellite node. Main network is roaming fine, but MLO does not roam. Support has confirmed me that it’s known “feature”. Anyone has better experience with MLO across mesh? To me it

Looking for a new router

What about TPLINK BE550 for smaller flats? I was thinking also about BE800, but that can be an overkill and way too pricey.

Help with 2.5gb router setup, lack of wifi 6e - can i use my exisiting TP-link wifi 6e as access point?

Yeah i've heard the wifi is so bad it can't even go through 1 or 2 walls, meanwhile my TP Ax5400 goes through 4-5 very old thick walls just for our ring doorbell lol. I think i'll be picking up the BE550 and giving it a try, I'd have to buy the Asus Axe16000 to do what i want by the sounds and it's

Help with 2.5gb router setup, lack of wifi 6e - can i use my exisiting TP-link wifi 6e as access point?

I will say that I used the BE700 in my home office on the first floor and I still got a fairly decent signal in my basement 2 floors down. My friends BE550 gives great quality wifi, but again pretty small.

Seeing this BS at such price makes me happy to go with UI.

So is TP-Link, which is why I dropped my BE550 which has way more range than the UDR7 I got, but other than the cybersecure subscription there is little you can't do on the UDR7

How is this possible and how can I fix it?

Unless you have concrete walls, your BE550 should handle 1100 sq ft on its own no problem. You shouldn't need a mesh system for that sq ft. either. In fact a mesh system in that small a space will get you worse speeds than a good single router. Either your IP Passthrough is not set up correctly on t
