TP-Link Deco M5 & M9 Mixed Fleet - Intermittent Connection Failures
If you need that wireless backhaul in the kitchen, I'd arrange them somehow to make sure you get an M9-M9 backhaul. M9-M5 backhaul is not as good. The M5 only has 2 bands and the M9 has 3. Also... the 2.4 ghz bands although less theoretical speed than the 5ghz bands can travel further and through wa

Complete beginner - was TP-link deco M5 the wrong purchase?
Deco can absolutely work with an Ethernet backhaul. On one of your M5s, use one port to connect to WAN, and the other to connect to LAN. This is the Router Mode configuration. On the other M5, use one port to connect to the LAN. Because you bought a pack of three M5s, you can put a switch between th

Is Unifi an all or nothing investment?
Not long ago moved from 3x Deco M5s running in AP mode on Cloud Gateway Ultra to 2x AP7 Lites. The WiFi coverage is better on the 2x AP 7 lites, than the 3x Deco m5’s in my 2 storey brick built 4 bed house. One thing to note on the Decos in AP mode is all your WiFi clients will show as wired in the

TP-Link Deco M5 & M9 Mixed Fleet - Intermittent Connection Failures
I have an M5 mixed in with M9. I would use an M9 as the main deco instead of the M5. Also don't pass everything though that Kitchen M9. Put a switch there and not use the M9 as a one port switch like you have now or just plug your main deco into the same switch as the other ones. And get rid of that

Unifi, is it really worth the bet?
I went from deco m5's to u6-pro and u7-pro. I think you can skip the 7 pros if you want to save some money because all my devices seem to prefer the 6. Prepare to spend $$$. It works better but I can't say it's amazing tbh. Also if you want to have something with more options than deco you may want

TP-Link Deco BE22 vs BE25 vs XE75 Pro - 2025 October (Wireless backhaul testing)
Since I’ve had the deco M5 earlier, I was pretty familiar with the ui. It’s the same app and everything is identical, except you get access to some new features. And no I’ve never felt limited.

Deco X20 vs Deco XE75 vs Deco XE75 Pro
Deco X75Pro 3-Pack, Deco M5 3-Pack and an X50. Also a Firewalla, 200GB Fibre, and multiple switches, 24-port unmanaged and 16-port POE. The Deco X75Pro is the Master and runs in AP mode, due to the router function of the X75 being such a POS. I have a smaller two story home with full basement and de

Modem x Roteador.

Better to Use Deco M5 as a Router or Use a Dedicated Router?
Deco in AP mode disables a lot of the features like QoS, and per device settings too. (if i am not wrong). While the app does not have advanced customisation capibility, it works just fine for what I need, allows editing DHCP settings, port forwarding, and NAT settings as well. I use in router mode,

UCG Fibre and Deco AP’s?
The post I was looking for. I'm gonna go for the UCG-Fiber to start into Ubiquiti, but i'm trying to go slow (they are not that cheap in Mx) and use my Deco M5 as AP, while I save and buy some complementary AP asi UI should like. A couple of questions ¿how does your network feel? I'm curious about p
