Residential (Discounted) plan RIP.
You are welcome. My old router gave up the ghost before Christmas, so now my house is running mesh on TpLink Deco x55. Love the coverage, just not the upsell for premium monitoring.

Best MikroTik WiFi APs for RB5009 — replacing Deco mesh, need VLAN support
You already have a 802.11ax AP. If you're happy with it's WiFi use the Deco X55 Pro as an access point behind your RB5009.

New TP-Link zero-day surfaces as CISA warns other flaws are exploited
Not saying we should ignore this problem but TP Link is one of the cheaper hardware so there you go. I have Deco x55 and i do receive 2 firmware update so far on its entire 1 year cycle. If you want something pro privacy, than you would have to, most likely, go with more expensive brand

G4SE extender
The other advice you got was bad. Hope im not too late. There is nothing wrong with you g4se modem. Its what I use and plan on using for years to come. It has the external antenna port that I have hooked up to a waveform antenna. If your internet wasn't good enough that is what id have you do. Get a

PSA: Moving away from the Google-supplied wifi router helped me immensely!
Whatever you get, an ethernet connection will always be better than wifi. In fact, Google Fiber’s website indicates that advertised speeds are intended for wired connections. For what it’s worth, I have the TP-Link Deco X55 (because I’m on a budget) with wired backhaul and speed tests over wifi show

What router do y'all use?
Depends on how big your house is and how many devices you have connected. I always aim to get a single beefy router; but if you have a large house you might be better off with a mesh system - something like Deco X55 is somewhat in your budget.

Mesh-system recommendations
Ebox only supports up to 1gbs download speed and with the size of your house there is no reason to buy something expensive. Get Deco x55 / x50 - usually it goes for $193-225 (3-pack) but sometimes for no good reason the price will jump to +$300 (DO NOT buy it for that price lol) Ebox won't lower the

New PS Portal owner and need advice!
You dont need wifi 7 (it has the new extra 6ghz band). PSP is compatible only with 2.4ghz and 5ghz. Unless you have the latest devices or iphone compatible with WiFi 7. TP-link Deco X55 3pack its $150 on Amazon.

Please suggest a decent upgrade from a wrt54g
Nice one, I had one of those, they must have come out in the early 2000s. Get a TP Link Deco X55 with WiFi 6, mid price range and can have more access points added if you need a mesh network. You could probably also go with their budget X20 if what you got has been fine until now.
