Mesh for TP Link Archer AXE75
Or, logically, return the AXE75 and get a Deco XE75 Pro, XE70 Pro, or the BE63 3 piece kit and be done. For slightly more than the single router, you have a true mesh system and can use the wired ports on the units for back-haul between them and/or to connect other devices that you don't want on wir...
Worth upgrading deco mech system?
Go with a 6E system like an XE75 or XE75pro even the XE70 is very good and priced very well. I would replace all your WiFi 5 units but keep them around in case you need coverage in a certain area your wifi isn’t reaching because all decos will work together but you want the newest model as your main...
XE75 pro vs x95
I have a 3,500 sq ft house with Ring cams and a Bird Buddy in the backyard. The XE70 Pro 3-pack works great for my needs. I previously had 5 Deco M9+ units.
Drop in speed with XE70 Pro
You only change the Deco to AP mode if you have another router in front of it to do the actual routing and firewall leave it in router mode if you don’t have another router in front of it. As far as the XE70 pro that is a 6E system you have to remember that the 6 GHz band does not travel that far wh...
Calix GigaSpire Blast u4 to NETGEAR R6700AX
Honest answer. Depending on size of home, look into a mesh system. I have Deco xe70 pros and it has probably been on of my best decisions. Verify which will do port forwarding
Router with wifi 6e/7 and 2.5gb ethernet
Didn't say not good, said range is not great, the 6ghz range is shorter that 2.5 and 5. As frequencies go up the ranges decrease. Look into a mesh system. I have a Deco mesh and it works well. Xe70 Pro or xe75 pro
What to buy?
I use TPLink Decos. Specifically the XE70 PRo. I have 3 of them in my house and all are connected by ethernet, but they do have a mesh system to connect one by ethernet and the other 2 will connect wirelessly. The do have different models to choose from.
What is the difference between whole home WiFi and WiFi boost?
I currently use a mesh system of the Deco XE70 Pros. Have 3 setup currently. I signed up for a 1gb speed.
Moca adapter
I'm using (3) Zyxel MoCA 2.0 adapters with my Deco XE70 Pro, as a hardwired backhaul. Works awesome, and get 980Mbps on those links.
Advice on a mesh network in a 3 floor ~2250 sqr ft home
Getting 1Gps wireless is going to require specific clients and a higher end mesh (likely WiFi 7). So you really need to specify a budget. High level you want a 3 unit (unless you meant 3 floors + the basement, then 4 units). Get a tri-band unit. I have great success with the Eero Pro 6E, Asus XT12s ...
