Deco XE75 Pro AXE5400 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6E

Recently purchased a 3-Pack Deco XE75 Pro AXE5400 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6E and was shocked by the lack of basic settings/customization: how is it possible that a product at this price range doesn't allow bandwidth limit per connected device? I have 10+ years router that have this option. Am I missing

Another request for manual channels and widths, ugh

TLDR Holy these XE75 units have been a pain. Granted, pushing them hard. But nothing I'm doing should be outside the bounds of these things. End TLDR.

I own SIX Deco XE75 (non pro). I initially started with 3 but I had a few hard to reach areas. I have a smart home with over 90 devices most of whi

Benefits of switching to AP7 from Deco 7 mesh?

I had 4 Deco XE75's (6E) and went to 4 AP7's. The Deco routing was terrible. There really is no separate VLAN for IoT, but they offer an IoT SSID and it does nothing other than reporting. You are best to get away from Deco. Now, that being said, the AP7's are great for VqLAN and managing them (and d

Deco XE75 Pro firmware rolled back to fix offline issues

My XE75 Pro 3 node mesh is hardware version 2.0.

TL;DR - If your XE75 Pro hardware is v2.0, stick to firmware 1.2.9 Build 20231225 unless you want to risk dealing with constantly offline nodes. Manually downgrading is very possible as long as you can go to each node's web interface and upload the

Deco XE75 - Device logic doesn't make sense

I've got 3 XE75 units in my home. One is hard wired to the Google fiber jack in the wall.

The other two are wirelessly connected spread in different parts of the house.

Two odd things going on:

  1. The satellite unit closest to the "main" unit has a weaker signal than the one significantly further a

Issue with Deco XE75 Weekly Report Notifications – Nothing Happens on Click, No Report in App (iOS)

As in the title…

I’m having an issue with my TP-Link Deco XE75 mesh system and the Deco app on my iPhone 15 Pro (iOS, app version 3.9.118). Every week, I get a push notification about “This Week’s Weekly Report” being available. But when I tap the notification, it just opens the app to the main scr

PiHole DNS fix (?) Deco XE75 pro

TLDR: set all but one DNS address to bbc.com. Forcing the deco to use the final DNS, my PiHole.

I’ve been having issues with the damn DNS setting on these stupid Deco systems, I think I’ve found a workaround so thought I’d write it down for future reference.

My PiHole said it was blocking domains

AP7 Force Device Connection

Even the Deco XE75 Pro's I'm throwing away (might go Office Space on them) have this feature. Hopefully Firewalla can implement it.

Unable to use Pihole with TP-Link Deco XE75

I recently purchase and (partially) setup a new TP-Link Deco XE75. While I am able to get basic functionality running, the one component that seems unusable is my Pihole. More specifically, I've had to use to the built-in DHCP (assignment and reservation) functionality of the Deco and cannot use and

6ghz Wireless Backhaul option missing

I recall when initially setting up the deco XE75 Pro, there was an option on the deco app where I was able to use the 6ghz band for dedicated wireless backhaul. Now that particular setting seems to be missing. Anyone else?
