🟢 [Fix] Virtual Desktop defaults to low bitrate (20 Mbps) even on fast LAN — here’s why and how to fix it

If you’re using a Wi-Fi 6E mesh system (like the TP-Link Deco XE75 Pro) and noticing that Virtual Desktop (VD) is stuck at low bitrates (20–30 Mbps) or high latency, even though your Quest 3 and PC both show 2400 Mbps connections — this might be the fix you’re looking for.

⚠️ The Issue:

Even when ...

Deco XE75 / AXE5300 - Ethernet port randomly stopped working

Hi, I have the AXE5300/XE75 and the 3 ethernet ports were working fine on my Main unit. But the highest ethernet port stopped working yesterday for some reason. I even switched out my main unit with another Deco which I made the new "main" - same problem with the 2nd unit. I tried switching ether...

Deco Xe75 vs xe75 pro

Bought a new home and planning for the networking. Tp-link deco axe-5400 (xe75) 3 nodes has a deal on amazon prime coming at $360, whereas axe-5400(xe75 pro) is at $399. Only difference I see is 2.5G port on xe75 pro which might be worth for future proofing. Overall Is it worth the $40 bump? Are th...

Succesfully bypassed HomeHub3000, but only get 800mbps for download instead of ~1000mbps

Hi everyone,

I recently switched my home network setup and am experiencing lower download speeds than expected. Here's a brief overview of my situation:

- Old Setup: HomeHub3000 → TP Link Deco XE75 Pro (Mesh in AP mode) → Desktop. This setup gave me download speeds of ~1000 Mbps. - New Setup: Repl...

Thank you google

I want to thank google developers. You see...for the past 5 years I've been using google wifi mesh and google nest mesh devices to push my internet through my home. They do work very decently but my mesh is wifi 5 set up and my isp is wifi 6(tri band router/modem).

I started looking at a new wif...

DECOs are hot garbage

We have 8 Deco XE75 Pros here and they have been great. Some wired, some not. One wired, then wireless, then wired. I just commented to my wife the other day how I rarely even think about our big mesh network now.

My personal views on very reliable mesh setups..in my opinion!

I have been using mesh systems in the same 2300sqft 3 story home for over 12 yrs.

In this succession. 1. Google wifi (5 pods) ac1200 2.Google Nest Mesh ac2200 (3 pods) 3. Orbi 3000 rb750 (2 pods) 4.Deco xe75 pro -(3 pods with 2 x20 piggy backs)

I'm going to just try and keep this short and tight. ...

Pretty Impressed with Deco XE75

I compared WiFi coverage (using Acrylic) and speeds between the Cradlepoint and a 2-pack of TP-Link Deco XE75. I understand that these metrics are not impressive to most people who have fiber, but these are pretty good with T-Mobile ISP in a rural area. I'm impressed so far with the Decos on the de...

Eternal wait for the XE75 firmware update

This post is essentially meant to express my profound regret for purchasing the Deco XE75. I had been using the M5 for five years, and while I was generally satisfied with its performance, its coverage was quite limited. Consequently, I decided to upgrade to the three-pack XE75, which offered improv...

Deco XE75 vs XE70 pro

With some recent deals for two units at $198 for XE70 pro vs $140 XE75 (non-pro version), I'm wondering which is better to keep?

It seems that the XE70 is new and has a 2.5Gbps port (vs 1Gbps on the XE75) but is AXE4900 (vs AXE5400 on XE75) are the main differences but maybe there are chipset/other...
