Beware…
It's a shame because at the core of it, I think Ubiquiti UniFi is genuinely a good and stable networking range, to the point I've deployed it for multi-site business clients. And then they come out with shit you wouldn't ever see outside of some IoT obsessed home and can't help but think, maybe just

UniFi Is an Evil Brand and I’m the Victim
I’m picking up what you’re putting down, friend. In my case, I’m a (somewhat) younger retired (due to permanent disability) computer engineer… I’ve been watching people all over here and on the Google Fiber sub sing the praises of UniFi, so I made a plan to slowly replace my current gear over an 18

Which mesh compatible router has the best range?
Wifi is very regulated and is designed for relatively short distance. So, there are not going to be devices that have any significant range gains over others. The solid walls are what's causing your poor experience. Also, the picture of your router says that it's in a bad spot. If you can, try and g

UnifFi update brings more coherent support of IPv6, bringing automatic detection of ISP IPv6 support and simpler IPv6 configuration
Installed Ubiquiti UniFi Network 10.4 on my UDR7 to try to route IPv6 traffic through VPN...I have the VPN config correct, but it only routes the IPv4 through the VPN. SMH. Very disappointing.

New Ubiquiti setup, what Plex specific settings should I use?
ubiquiti dream router 7 and express router 7 why did you get two routers? You only need one. If you need to expand your WiFi coverage you should've purchased one of the APs or their extender. Ideally I want to have the same wifi network name so I don't have to reset all attached devices that use the

Adding NaS to my setup
Thanks for the write up! Seems like Unifi Dream Router 7 is about 340 euros, compared to the Ubiquiti UniFi USW Flex 5 which is about 60 euros. Might be a bit 2 much currently, since the asus has been working fine.

Choosing New Router & AP Layout - Setup & test without internet connection?
Floorplan says 92m² not including the balcony. And the router would almost certainly have to be at the front end rather than central. It could go in the cupboard with the rest of the network gear but then it would be in an enclosed cupboard but at least it would be more central. However if it has to

Hey /r/Sysadmin! What do you use for your home router? 2026 Edition
I've got a Ubiquiti Dream Router 7. Although it unfortunately died on Saturday so I got a UniFi Express 7 while that's away for my warranty claim. Then a few Flex minis and a PoE Lite switch.. and a U7 Pro.

Sometimes I hate self hosting
I got my Jellyfin setup again, this time using IPv6 so I can avoid having to deal with hairpin routing and reverse proxies (though I might eventually add them back for ip banning and rate limiting… Anyway I got it working on IPv6 and it worked outside of my house no problem on the app and websites I
