Px8 S2 noise cancelling -- worthless or did I get a bad pair?
Excellent breakdown, thanks for taking the time to go into detail! I also found these to be a bit harsh at first, but then over time they mellowed. And that's just within a week or so. I was accustomed to V-Moda M100s sound-wise, which also greatly hype bass and have lower mids/highs. So at first I

What Headphones do you use?
Sen HD 490 + a sound blaster soundcard I've had for 15+ years, also used vmoda m100 masters for hunt for years as well the open backs definitely improve readability with the sound stage. They are expensive (Sen 490) got mine for about £350 I think usually £400 but they are super comfortable literall

Is this OK as a starter?
You get used to a lighter bass. I started with cheap headphones with too much bass and stopped preferring them when I got the V-Moda M100. They have V tuning and despite that I felt that they lacked bass, but a month later headphones with excessive bass hurt my ears. I recommend that you buy some go

Why is no one talking about the new M-10 and M-100 Pro?
Your analysis is very interesting, thank you for sharing it! I recently bought a brand new sealed M-100 Masters for $95 on eBay, a real deal, my OG’s M-100 were already having problems with the hinges. And i agree with you, headphones these days tend to be very boring. I still think V-MODA are the b

Advanced DJs: Which Over-Ear-Headphones do you recommend?
I use the V-Moda Crossfade 3 Wireless and will eventually get something like the Beyerdynamic Aventho 300's. I prefer a nice Bluetooth wireless headphone to use for personal use that I can also plug a cable in for DJing. Don't fuss too much over headphones, everyone here is just recommending the fir

Battle of the PXs
I had the V-Moda M100's before I dropped them and they broke. I replaced them with a pair of M-100 Masters and they sound much more bass heavy than my PX's and my PX-8's. Not a bad headphone, just different.

Comfortable headphones
If you want comfortable, Bose QuietComfort is hard to beat in that department. That said, I wanted something that sounded better so my go to is my V-Moda Crossfade M-100 Masters with the XL Pads. My wife loves her Crossfade 3 wireless.

Just got this bad boy.
Welcome to the hobby. As for headphones, if you're just getting started, any over the ear or on ear headphones will work. Here's my take on several of the recommended headphones: Sony WH-1000XM series: If you already have these, they're fine. Not something I'd use long term. Too much to break. Audio
