Just one of those days
This is so me, recently bought a steam deck oled to play something else than fps games, now it just sits there...

“For parts” Steam Deck
hey OP this is important. i bought a refurbished deck a couple years ago, and it would occasionally die like that and i would rescue it by rebuilding the bios. eventually it stopped being recoverable with a bios rebuild. i bought a bios flashing tool and dumped the bios and used a 'box fresh' bios.

Newly Verified ‘Death Stranding 2’ running at sub 20 frames during combat.
Steam verification has honestly not meant much to me remotely for the past 2 years or so. Especially as the SD has become more and more underpowered for newer harder to run games. I love my steam deck oled but I have tried more than a few “verified” games that just don’t remotely work well on it.

Better Alternative for Moonlight Streaming from PC to Steam Deck
Pretty sure it's a Steam Deck OLED issue. None of the suggested workarounds (e.g. changing powersave mode in Desktop) has fixed it for me.

ASUS ROG Xbox Ally with Ryzen Z2A drops to $499
This is such a weird device because it’s basically steam deck price for steam deck performance with a higher resolution screen but that’s not really an advantage because then you just don’t run games at native resolution because that chip is more going to like 720 than 1080. You get VRR but you lose

Paralives on Steam deck thread
played nearly 3 hours on steam deck oled. game mode, default proton, 800p, lowest settings, gpu clock locked to 1600, fps limit at 45, though it definitely doesn’t get close, 20-30 fps at my house with dips and stutters, 70c average. uploaded my steam input to the community, under the name “fray”. p

FOMO with Oled
I have had an OLED Steam Deck, Xbox Ally X and currently an OXP Apex. The OLED was gorgeous but nothing beats performance ESPECIALLY when these IPS displays are pretty damn good. After a while you forget about the display you're using and are just thankful to be running at good settings with good fr

Is Z2 Go really bad?
Everything is really about the price imo. If the price is close to $499, I would say it's a decent option imo. It's slightly more powerful than Steam deck oled, it has a bigger battery and screen. So for the same price, I would buy Legion go S Z2go

Is VRR important to you?
Used a Steam Deck for years.... when games would get tight in FPS, I would watch a studder and not be smooth. It drove me nuts. In fact, going from 60fps to 40 on a steam deck I found some games unplayable. I moved to a Rog Ally X with VRR, and watch FPS, the drop from 60 to 40-45fps is not really n
