I’m an engineer so I have to research everything. I purchased a VIOFO a129. It’s a 4K camera in the front and 1080 in the rear, and you can hotspot your phone to it for downloading video or watching the video live. It’s a truly wonderful product and I’m very pleased with my purchase. This specific m

I've been using viofo a129 duo with 256gb memory card for about 7 to 8 years now. Although there are newer models that does 4k now, but I didn't have any reason to change it.

Rear Cable length for VIOFO A329S Dash Cam in 2026 CR-V Hybrid
I have a VIOFO A129 Pro Duo 4K that is a bit older, but also came with a 6M rear cable. I moved it from my 2021 Accord to my 2026 CRV Hybrid with no issue; I even had some slack left over I had to tuck away. I also had done a lot of research prior to purchasing a dash cam, and the VIOFO brand came h

Looking for a dash cam!
Avoid the ones that come with batteries. They will swell under the heat. I am using the viofo a129 plus duo. I still need to hardwire it, but it works great connected to a USB charger. Also, get a memory card that is rated for harsh environments. I'm using a SanDisk max endurance.

[oc] Oopsie Boopsie - Foot not fully on brake
Viofo a129 plus. It does have very high resolution and Wifi connectivity so you can pull video wirelessly. My 1 gripe is that the wifi transfer speed is abysmal at 1 Mbps.

Proud owner of an STI <3 | Advice needed!
Been running a Viofo a129 plus duo (1440p F&R cam) for 2-3 years now no issues. With their hardwire kit for parking mode, and 2 polarizing lenses to lessen some reflections. Mine is a lower end model, they have ones that go up to like 4k, and more fps. Using a 128gb Samsung endurance card, would pro

Affordable car dash cams that can survive the Phoenix heat?
Fwiw I have two viofo cameras and both have handled being parked in the sun just fine, even with the reflection from a sun shield. I recommend a dual cam as they're not much more expensive but the hassle of hardwiring is up to you if you want that peace of mind while parked versus draining down the

Don't do what I did
Viofo A129 Plus Duo. Hardwired to the car, it's been very reliable for the year or so I've had it. The video was actually clearer when I pulled it from the SD card, but Reddit compressed it.

What dash cam are people using that is reliable?
You may want to look at the quality of your SD card, dashcams are pretty hard on cards as they’re constantly writing and erasing. The cheaper ones often have limited write speed which may cause the buffer in the camera to fill, they are also more prone to corrupting. I’ve got two sets of Viofo A129
