Ask Me Anything About My E-Ink Tablet Collection

For what you've described, the rMPP would work okay, but like you say battery isn't great - I think I only got around six hours before it needed a recharge. I liked the Viwoods AI Paper Mini for more portable note-taking, and the Supernote Nomad is also decent, however these are around 8", so not re

AI Paper vs Boox 10.3 Lumi

I have the Aipaper and the Go 10.3 gen 1. I much prefer the Viwoods, for the following reasons: The screen is noticeably whiter. This is a bigger deal for gen 1, which does not have a front light. The Go 10.3 screen is just dark enough to be a bother, and the Viwoods is just light enough for me to b

my one page review of writing on the Go 10.3 Gen II

This agrees with what other reviewers are saying. I am quite surprised they managed to do such a good job. Is this a case of necessity being the mother of invention? At least it seems like Boox is responding in a conscientious manner to a situation forced on them from the outside, and not taking the

This Or Manta?

Viwoods is definitely better for apps. Even though you can sideload apps on Supernote, switching between apps is a total pain on that device. Viwoods has an “app drawer”. File management is probably better on the Manta if that is important to you? Honestly I don’t even have time to get into that. Bu

New AIPaper Mini and Sync between devices

Don’t think of e-ink tablets like other tech. Annual releases are totally pointless when the screen tech (the most important part) doesn’t change very fast. Just look at the new reMarkable, which essentially has the same specs as the r2 which came out 6 years ago. The Mini still has nearly 300 ppi a

Why there are no 8 inch erearers?

I was going to recommend this. I have the Viwoods AiPaper Mini and I love it! It has a really bright screen with front light. It runs Android so you can put whatever reading app you prefer.

NA5C - so many positive reviews... Well, still not my device, sorry.

You didn't like the 4C so there was no way the 5C would ever change your mind. A lot of people like the Honda Civic, but I hate how rough it is on pavement. We all have things we like or don't like. Kaleido 3 requires the frontlight to be on to at least 50% brightness for me in all scenarios except

8-Inch E-Ink Tablet for Mixed Use: Must have Portability AND Open App Support (Kindle/Libby)

In my opinion, the product that best fits this description is the AiPaper mini by Viwoods. It's beautifully built (I have the large model, but the small one is coming soon), and it has a customizable interface where you can set up your library, notebooks, and memos. Otherwise, just pretend the Andro
