I need a good VPN.

ProtonVPN free ➝ Free, Unlimited data. Windscribe free ➝ 10 GB per month data but faster compared to ProtonVPN free. Mozilla's Proxy extension ➝ Only available in USA, UK, Germany, France as of 17/04/2026. 50GB/month limit. Mullvad or IVPN ➝ If you can pay then these are the most private VPNs you ca

Unbearable slow speeds for the past week

It's your ISP. If you've normal speeds without the VPN on they're throttling Windscribe IPs.

Best Free VPN

In general you can't have fast and unlimited with the free tier, Windscribe for example give you 10 GB a month for free with decent speed, the rest either give similar scheme or have unlimited servers that are slow due to the freeloaders. There's unlikely to be much difference on encryption, most of

Switching from ProtonVPN to Windscribe: Some of My Experiences

Proton Is a overhyped vpn and company. Clearly trying to play out huge marketing cards and buzzwords while going the "checkmark " feature list of endless new features and high pricing. It's simple as that. Windscribe is easily one if not the top vpn right now specially regarding quality they really

How good is it for torrenting?

Hi there. Might get a lot of hate for saying it, but here goes nothing: Windscribe’s fine for casual use, speeds are decent and it works with most trackers. That said, I ended up with Bamboo Vpn because it feels more stable for long seeding sessions. Haven’t really had to babysit it the way I did wi

Alright, let's talk about Unlimited Pro and accounts getting banned/disabled

VPNs are like apartments: they're separate buildings, but if someone in the same building is causing a serious inconvenience to their neighbours, something needs to be done about it. Given that most servers' have become much faster since Windscribe's recent action, it's clear that this has been a ve

Thanks for the bans Windscribe!

Or you know, they could invest in their service to improve the bandwidth… all servers at this point should be 10+ Gbps. I am also speaking as someone who would use at most 3TB in a month… their speeds are usable, but no where near as quick as surf shark or proton. I test all 3 and Windscribe is the

YouTube TV knows I am using a VPN

YouTube TV checks GPS on mobile not just IP. VP⁤N alone won't work unlesss you're on desktop or laptop. switched to Bamb⁤oo VP⁤N for streaming stuff gets detected waaay less than Windscribe bc their IPs aren't burned yet.

Got banned after 3 months on the unlimited plan

Been a windscribe faithful for years, get the year for 30 when they run anniversary sales +a static IP for another 30. I don't abuse it, I get them putting a limit on the unlimited. But banning people way under the new unlimited limit and saying seeding a torrent is never and can never be personal u
