Studio monitors for synths AND a stage piano
At that budget, you will get a better sound out of the headphones. There is no escaping that. In order to get a nice, balanced, full-range sound out of the speakers, you'd need room treatment. Yamaha HS7 goes down to 50 Hz, so ideally 6 acoustic panels, some 10 inches thick, would be nice. That woul

The command center is almost ready
I feel it may have come off more harsh than I had intended, so apologies for that. I don't mean to imply that there's anything wrong with those specific monitors, more so that I personally don't enjoy working with them. That said, the HS7s are actually pretty decent, and by far the best offering in

Without breaking the bank, what’s the best FRFR setup for helix in 2026? wanting to play bass and guitar. Looking like an actual amp is a plus but not necessarily
I have a Powercab 112 Plus I use for guitar. When I got a bass I looked into using it and was warned the PC lowest frequency rating was above the bass, and that maybe it was "OK" at low volumes, to avoid damaging the speaker. I then checked my Yamaha HS7 monitors, and they are rated to go very low s

You roasted it, I improved it - new setup
Ah yeah, makes sense, then it's fine. I know the pain, only got a 45" ultrawide but a relatively small desk and got Yamaha HS7. Pretty tricky to get good position with lots of display surface.

Upgrade to Rokit 6 worth it?
A lot of people saying KRKs are overrated just want to appear elite, but the either way at that range the monitors are made of similarly priced/quality components. KRKs are amazing for the value, they really nailed the sound down with the new gens and the 6 inchs are great and plenty loud. You don't

When to upgrade your Moog?
Those are Yamaha HS7’s. They sound great to me, I even bought a replacement when one broke. I’ve used them for ten years for professional production and songwriting work, although I’m not a mix engineer. It all depends on the size of your room in terms of what kinda sized monitors are useful
