Help with OLED Monitor and how dark everything is!
Depending on monitor, maybe you have the darkest setting on. For instance, mine (AW3423DWF) has a "HDR1000" or "HD 400 True Black". I'd give the peak a try over the true black, or vice versa. 1000 max nits allows that high of a brightness for sources like the sun/fire/moon etc, but will dim the rest

Peak brightness: 10% or 2% window?
Assuming HGIG, the only "safe" suggestion is to calibrate to the clip point that's shown in a calibration screen. This will use the full range of whatever HDR mode your screen is designed for. Any other adjustments to maximize effective brightness or w/e are going to be panel specific, and are essen

Qd-Oled VS WOLED
Complaints? Ive owned the aw3423dwf qd oled for around 3 years and recently just upgraded to the woled lg c5 not 1 issue ever. I would say qd oled will be more punchy with your colors. OLED isn’t that great..
IMO, oled screens look great on desktop gaming. I have an ultrawide 34” Alienware qdoled, and a LG 34” ultrawide non oled stacked and the difference really is night and day. But on small screens it’s meh, again in my opinion/experience. I’m perfectly happy with my go S screen 😬

What percentage of the OLED experience do the Mini-LED displays on the recent M-Series MacBook Pros provide? How much better are typical OLED displays on Windows laptops?
The panels found on macbooks are essentially complete and utter garbage, they have response times of over 50ms, making them by far the most blurry mess in motion you'll see, moving the mouse will leave a trail, that's how bad it is. It's a real throwback to the 1st gen LCD's with horrible ghosting.
