I'd give the peak a try over the true black, or vice versa. 1000 max nits allows that high of a brightness for sources like the sun/fire/moon etc, but will dim the rest

IMO, oled screens look great on desktop gaming. I have an ultrawide 34” Alienware qdoled, and a LG 34” ultrawide non oled stacked and the difference really is night and day. But on small screens it’s meh, again in my opinion/experience. I’m perfectly happy with my go S screen 😬

The panels found on macbooks are essentially complete and utter garbage, they have response times of over 50ms, making them by far the most blurry mess in motion you'll see, moving the mouse will leave a trail, that's how bad it is. It's a real throwback to the 1st gen LCD's with horrible ghosting.
