What is the best addition you made to your WFH situation that wasn't for actual work?

I bought a Fire HD 8-inch tablet and a DAC. I side-loaded UAPP (USB Audio Player Pro) onto the tablet and connected the output to my receiver. Now I have all of the music, especially the 24/96 FLAC files on my Synology NAS available (via DLNA) on a decent sized screen for me to play, it is completel

Developing the ideal eye-friendly phone - need input please!

The matte solution needs to be not to perfect. Sounds weird but many manufacturers try to get impressive numbers on paper "99.9 percent glare free", but the result is a grainy, uneven screen making reading uncomfortable (for example the TCL nxtpaper devices). I think a very fine matte layer or anti-

The Best Tablets

Tablets aren’t just “big phones” anymore. I’ve found them to be surprisingly versatile, perfect for streaming Netflix in bed, catching up on emails at the cafe, or sketching out ideas when I don’t feel like pulling out a laptop. The right one can pretty much replace multiple gadgets if you pick care

Credit Card Sized Phone Stand

I’ve made a credit card–sized phone stand that fits easily in your wallet when folded. It can be unfolded within seconds and holds your phone vertically or horizontally, with multiple adjustable viewing angles.

I literally got teary-eyed on this one. I love Slash.

Not to hijack the thread but how has your experience been with tablet reading? I used to use a Kindle fire HD 8" and as I'm hitting a certain age my eyes aren't as sharp as they used to be. I decided to upgrade to a Galaxy tab s9 for the AMOLED 11" screen. Not as easily portable as the Fire but It's

Should I buy a Paperwhite?

It's still useless for my personal need since I always use Calibre to manage my library anyway, so sideloading to my Kobo & Kindle (Koreader) is always easy Maybe if I want to read manga again I would consider it, but my existing Fire HD 8 tablet is my manga reading device in the first place, especi

Reasons to Upgrade?

The e-ink is a different experience. It does cause less eye strain. I just use the Kindle basic, but I do find that I go to sleep more quickly without the typical light from a tablet, but as you mentioned reading on a Fire tablet is mostly pleasant. The true kindles are lighter too. So, it is easier

Best colour ereader for comic/manga?

Best value for money: Kindle Fire HD 8 for manga. Cheap as shit in any Amazon sale, perfect size for manga (and easily reading US comics too tbh). Kindle Fire HD 11. Full HD, lovely, vibrant screen and honestly feels like a 1:1 ratio for US comic pages. Overkill for manga and one you'd keep at home

Which ereader do you recommend for MANGA? (see requirements)

One of those Android ereader like Boox Go/Poke 6 or Meebook M6 would suit your needs especially for those apps you mentioned on top of Mihon Btw, any reason you want to use PDF? If it’s just for manga, you’d fare better with CBZ format anyway 6” is regarded too small for manga and PDF when it comes
