What is the best addition you made to your WFH situation that wasn't for actual work?
I bought a Fire HD 8-inch tablet and a DAC. I side-loaded UAPP (USB Audio Player Pro) onto the tablet and connected the output to my receiver. Now I have all of the music, especially the 24/96 FLAC files on my Synology NAS available (via DLNA) on a decent sized screen for me to play, it is completel

I was just gifted a Kindle Fire HD 8 can I use it as an E reader?
Technically, this is not a Kindle, but Amazon Fire HD (tablet). Having said that, you can still absolutely use this as a Kindle! (I used to use mine like that) As the other comment suggests, the best alternative to the Kindle app (if you don't want to use an Amazon account) would be Redeara. You can

Cheap alternative to iPad mini6-7
As the title states, I have a cheap alternative for the iPad mini to work with a Backbone… It’s an Amazon fire HD 8… it runs well… You just have to do some minor tweaking to the software of the fire by installing the Google play store, it took me about 10 minutes to get it running on Nvidia GeForce

Developing the ideal eye-friendly phone - need input please!
The matte solution needs to be not to perfect. Sounds weird but many manufacturers try to get impressive numbers on paper "99.9 percent glare free", but the result is a grainy, uneven screen making reading uncomfortable (for example the TCL nxtpaper devices). I think a very fine matte layer or anti-

Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus or Newer Model?
I saw that Amazon has this for $54.99 right now which isn’t too shabby at all. I mainly would use it for ebooks and comic books reading and some streaming. Would the HD 8 Plus suffice or should look into a newer model?

New Fire HD 8
Just bought the new Fire HD 8. This is my 2nd Fire. I bought it for a couple reasons. I couldn't pass up the price, between the sale, my employee discount and my card discount it was more than half off. Also my other Fire is 7 years old.

iPad for tabletop navigator?
Cheapest way - Amazon Fire tablet (8" is a reasonable price), enable the real Google Play store vs the stupid Amazon Fire store...which you can easily do, then put the C4 app on it, and the "Fully Single App Kiosk" app. It'll be locked in as a C4 only android device. The Fire 8 tablet is $99 and usu
