This wasn‘t exactly planned but man is it a nice upgrade
I still have my 2021 M1 iPad Pro 12.9" and have no desire to upgrade yet. The M silicon is truly a work of marvel from Apple and have only had a previous iPad Mini 5 for 4.5 years, when I upgraded to the iPad Mini 7 (and that one was noticeably slower after all those years: A12 to A17 Pro)

How many of you would be moved by this Macbook A18 Pro?
I’m very tempted. I have the iPad mini 7 that has the A17 pro and that covers MORE than my power needs so the A18 pro in a laptop? I could be very swayed

Stage manager works amazing on the mini 7. It’s a shame Apple doesn’t officially support it.
Currently using Stage Manager on my mini 7 with an external display, keyboard & mouse. Didn’t realize how useful this feature is. Now I’m debating returning for an iPad Air, even though it’s a little bigger. Or, never updating my mini 7, because this Stage Manager “tweak” was patched out in ipadOS 1

Do you have a screen protector on your iPad and do you use an Apple Pencil? Why or why not?
Yeah, a matte one, iPad mini A17 Pro, Pencil USB-C. I make notebooks on Preview (with a PDF legal pad template). Currently waiting for one that is actually gritty like paper. Don't care if I wear out nibs, Apple makes more. It matches my on the go system of literal pen and A5 paper. Scan and load in

Is the mini 7 worth forking out the extra cash over the A16?
I think the big thing you wanna think about is longevity, better chip will get you more years out of it. A16 is an aging chip and doesn’t even support Apple Intelligence. A mini could be fine if you can find one at a decent price, but I wouldn’t do anything other than the A17 Pro. Hell even an M1 iP
