ROG Zephyrus G14: Asus releases new 14-inch gaming laptop in North America without GeForce RTX 5080
Hey OP - I just checked the Asus US site and I do see the 5080 SKU listed now. But damn, its 4800... yea I'm wondering if they were better off not listing it given I can't imagine ANYONE is paying almost 5K for a 5080 14inch + 1TB SSD laptop when just last year $4K got you a 5090 + 64GB RAM + 2TB in

Asus ROG says it is 'actively investigating' gaming laptop stuttering issues after a user apparently identified a 'cascade of firmware design failures'
Yup. Got a G14 ASUS laptop about 6 years ago. Got constant blue screens. There were many, many threads on r/ZephyrusG14 about it. Turns out they fucked up how the dynamic processor adjustment works. Had to modify power management in Windows and explicitly disable processor performance boost mode, or

New to Thinkpad.
Congrats on finally finding "the one". Just curious, what didn't you like about the Macbook Air? Also, was the Asus gaming laptop a G14? I have a G14 and it has not been reliable hah.

2026 Zephyrus Release Email. No G14 5080 or G16 5090 for 2026?
The site still says “up to RTX 5090” and the G14’s says up to RTX 5080, but the selection page is all messed up for me: https://rog.asus.com/us/laptops/rog-zephyrus/rog-zephyrus-g16-2026/spec/ The page they sent out in the marketing seems to go to some custom “pick G14 or G16” page with only a selec

Button that opens copilot where right control should be, on a 3000 dollar laptop
Very unlikely, this is an Asus ROG zephyrus g14, not great for work and rough battery life - pretty much the most gaming performance possible built into the smallest frame possible, lots of overheating issues too. Unless this guy is an exec that got to pick their own laptop from wherever lol

(Help post) My roommate deliberately wants me to fix his laptop and refuse my suggestion to just pay for repair shop service. it ends up wrong and now demands replacement in full compensation.
OP please listen to this person. Do not pay him a single cent. He’s an adult and knew the risk he was taking. His laptop isn’t worth Jack, 2050 is 3 generations old. 1.7k is a very generous amount for a laptop with a 2050. If I were to give my valuation, it’s 1.2-1.5k max. And that’s coming from an

Downloaded Nvidia Studio Driver on Newly Bought G14, and Now It’s Stuck on the Logo Screen
New driver seem to be incompatible with Ultimate mode . You can either downgrade driver (preferred) or exit Ultimate and just wait for an update form Nvidia.

100w power adapter enough for 60 w on power config?
Setting the power limit to 60W does not mean that this is the max wattage that will get drawn. There's a lot of other stuff eating up wattage. 100W could be ok, but would require testing. Anyhow, charging with USB sucks on this device if you plan on staying connected after the battery is full. Only

$1800 laptop with 16GB Ram? Wtf
Yeah, it seems like a rip off. But, that said, the Zephyrus G14 was first unveiled around March 2020 and the 16gb, 1tb, RTX 2060 variant would have been $1499. Plugging numbers into an inflation calculator, this actually seems about on-par

Quote: "WHY LENOVO!!! WHY SOLDERED RAM!!!!!! THANKS FOR E-WASTE"
The deal is that every single manufacturer now tries to shave off millimeters of thickness (something no one asked them to), making the whole laptop trash in the meanwhile. Case and point - ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14, the 2023 model was great with its upgradable RAM (to 64GB) and good cooling. The 2024 m
