What is an example of fairly old tech being as good as or better than a newer model or piece of tech?

Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin speaker, originally released in 2006. The quality of sound is still mind blowing. Lots of friends have newer bluetooth speakers and none of them come close to the zeppelin. Plus it looks like a piece of art

Marshall Woburn III as soundbar...a crazy idea?

I was in the same boat — was considering the Woburn 3 and some Samsung soundbars too. But I ended up going with the Klipsch Flexus Core 200 + the surround speakers, and I’m really glad I did. The sound is absolutely amazing, especially for movies. Even the built-in bass gives you that deep, cinemati

Px8 s2 is awesome

B&W direct only seem to offer returns. I'm willing to agree, it seems strange to be impacted by 3 headsets. One of the following is happening: Maybe a batch or production issue A firmware issue maybe It's the way it works and I'm sensitive to it. Kind of one of those things once you hear it type sit

What is the single worst purchase you’ve ever made?

Zeppelin Air from bower&wilkins. They knew it should have had an extra resistor but did not honour warranty. I discourage anyone interested in their products.

What is something that you bought that was really expensive but worth every penny to you?

Not expensive in the grand scheme of things but for a Bluetooth speaker, my Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin. Looks and sounds tremendous

There's a new top dog in the Boombox size category: B&W Zeppelin

Bird...love seeing this pop to the top of your list, and I really like learning more about your "audiophile" side. Definitely helps put things in perspective! I had the OG Zeppelin with a 30-pin dock for my old iPhone, and it was a serious piece of kit. Since I didn't need portability, and wanted an

iPod + Bowers & Wilkins

I own the Bose sound dock series 2 and the bowers & Wilkins. I really like the B&W more. Mostly because of the looks . I’ll admit I don’t own any hi end Audio gear. Just these two. But they sound good enough and are loud enough for me. My zeppelin is currently in my basement gym and I use it when I

Apple music via airplay vs tidal connect on Zeppelin Pro

I'm getting one of these, but the lack of Tidal Connect is a downside. My Naim Mu-so Gen 2 supports it, allowing direct playback from the Tidal app, just like Spotify Connect. With the Zeppelin Pro, however, you have to stream through the Bowers & Wilkins app, not directly from Tidal.
