SOS: Neighbour bass complaints
Definitely not anything Bluetooth. I use a couple of different closed backs as I like the isolation and better bass response - Fiio FT1 & Beyerdynamic DT700 Pro X. The Beyers are my personal favourite. You might prefer an open back but it may depend on the type of music you mainly listen to.

What headphones do you use?
Beyerdynamic DT 700 pro x, great sound and comfort and they do a fine job at blocking the kit noise.

What is the best headphone I can get for mixing, I can't choose.
I got a Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X (why such a long name?!) And I'm EXTREMELY happy with it. Very good response to all frequencies, very comfortable and it has it's "cushions" made of a velvety soft fabric. It is not very warm after prolonged use, has decent noise insulation and it doesn't start shed

Any tips for headphones
I mostly use Beyerdynamic DT 700 PRO X. I opted for them because they have a fairly neutral sound signature which is good for monitoring. Additionally, they are closed-back so they better isolate against room sound. My biggest complaint is I'm not a big fan of the position of the cable connector int

Is the DT 700 Pro X a good choice for everyday use (music, games, movies)?
I actually made a small review of the pads I bought so if you want some more details, you can find them here. I also wonder if the leather pads wouldn't make it easier to lose the seal when worn with glasses. Probably depends on the glasses and shape of the head itself. I usually don't need to wear

Metalhead needs headphone recs
It doesn't check all the boxes, but I just have to give a recommendation for Beyerdynamic. I have the DT700 Pro X and they're sturdy and the sound quality is incredible. It doesn't have noise canceling and it's wired, but that's the tradeoff for having great sound quality (ANC and bluetooth make it

What monitor headphones should I purchase?
In ear monitors will give you the best sound isolation. There are a lot of good sounding options around $100. Check out KZ and CrinEar. Another interesting option is the sennheiser ie 200. They are smaller and might be more comfortable but you have to change stock ear tips to get nice bass. There ar

Using over-the-ear headphones with active noise cancelling on live stage
Thanks for this point, I'll look into this. And yes, I'm currently using beyerdynamics DT 700 pro X in my studio, they seem to isolate quite well. And if the ANC doesn't work out in the end (especially because of the negative effect on hearing), I'll try sticking to beyerdynamics.. and maybe a hybri

Thoughts on open and closed back headphones
I have a pair of Beyerdynamic DT700 Pro X (closed) and a pair of Avatone Planar the ii’s (open) I use both in mixing situations. But if I were put to it I wouldn’t use opens for tracking…they would bleed into your mic much more than closed back if doing vocals.
