Smart Grinder Pro

Breville bambino & breville smart grinder pro ( ppl in this thread don’t like this grinder but it’s very very easy to use) it won’t grind light beans though, only medium and dark beans.

For this machine, I've used a Breville SGP grinder, and it works very well with a medium/dark roast coffee at grind level 6, with a naked portafilter. But currently, I prefer to use it with a hand grinder.

Its funny really because most people getting into this are told to go super high on the grinder end and while there is some validity to that, I think it also is a little OTT. The Breville Smart Grinder Pro does a great job. There is actually a video online by a coffee guy where he used a smart grind

Just saw your comment. Yeah, I think the general consensus is bigger and more expensive is better but thats really not the case. The Bambino and SGP as you have seen too is perfectly fine. Use beans from "Beanery" , buy their organic espresso beans. They sell 1/2 pound. Buy Breville smart grinder pro and grind them at Number 9 or lower. Espresso will come out.

I have both the smart grinder and the encore esp. The smart grinder is better. Anyone that says otherwise doesn't have a direct comparison . Encore is manual, has far more retention and I find more inconsistent. I have to change the grind size on it just getting through a single bag of 250g beans. A

if you want to putts about with settings and primally work with espresso shots, then the df54 but if convenance and flexibility is a key factor, which it is for us, the Breville smart grinder pro works seamlessly with the Infusers, ours has served us well for over 10 years and can grind for anything

Hey brother, I read that you use the Breville Dose Control Pro. I used to use the Breville Smart Grinder Pro as my daily grinder before I had the budget to upgrade. What helped me a lot with finer grinds is adjusting the inner burr. Have you done that by chance? That helps a lot. Breville grinders b
