AF with EF - EOS M Adapter and Sigma lens
It's 'dead' in the same way the EF system is 'dead', yet people are buying EF DSLRs left and right these days due to the cheap cost yet high quality pictures they take. The big differences between the M50 vs R7 are: The R7 is decently larger, has two SD card slots, has animal eye tracking in auto fo

Am I looking for a unicorn?
$300? small and decent quality? yes, a unicorn i am not familiar with your camera but I know that some Lumix cameras are highly regarded. a DMC-LX100 will cost u $779 at MPB. it gets excellent reviews Slightly bigger but a bit more versatile would be a Canon M200 for $479. a small lens that delivers

Recommendations please?
i buy from MPB USA... they stand behind their products. most of what i get works great. I bought an inexpensive compact camera... an old one. it was malfunctioning when it came in. they sent me paperwork to print out for free shipping.... sent a FedEx courier to pick it up and gave me a full refund.

What camera would you recommend from these options?
a mirrorless camera... along with your old EF-S lens.... and an EF to M adapter will not be compact! i don't think you have enough of a budget for an m50 and a decent ef-m lens if u invest in an M camera get one of the later ones: M50, M50 mk II, M200 or M6 Mk II if u really want to go with the M50

Anyone else ?
I'd say that either you don't really enjoy photography or you're buying the wrong cameras, or a mix of both. I see often people that just need a basic camera and spend thousands on an ILCE, plus lenses, cards, etc, just to find out you have to travel everywhere with 5Kg on your shoulder. So obviousl

In compenso di fissi f/2.8 ce n'è a

To the people that say “never leave home without my camera” what do you mean?
My Old Canon EOS-M with a 22 f/2 lens. If I were to replace it today, might go with an m200 which is a similar form factor but much more capable. Or an M6 mark i which is 3mm wider and 2mm taller but thicker with a better grip. Both of these have improved autofocus and a flip up screen.

Will prices ever come down?
Cameras are making a resurgence for several reasons from COVID hobbying, to the desire to put down your cellphone and AI pictures, and displaying your social media best life for all to see and be envious of. So cameras are “trendier” than ever, from the Canon G7x with all the basic girls, to the Fuj

Point and shoot type camera?
If you don't have a set budget, you should look at one of the Rich GR series cameras. They have an APS-C sensor, are small and pocketable with a fixed, either 28mm or 40 mm equivalent lens. They are not cheap, the GR IV is about 1600, while the III and IIIx are about 1200 new. Buying used can save y

bad investment? canon eos m3
did u make a bad decision buying this camera in 2025.... well, as much as I love my little M camera and tiny EF-M lenses... Canon stopped making cameras in that ecosystem nothing else they make will be as small as an m series camera. the M200 is about the same size as the M3 and its a bit newer....
