Considering a Pentax but.....
I think you're asking the wrong question. Is Pentax autofocus bad? No, for the optical viewfinder DSLR, it's great. Pentax live view autofocus is... not good. The Canon 90D DSLR live view autofocus will out-perform any Pentax. The Nikon D780 live view will also out-perform any Pentax. That's because

Began photographing soccer for the first time this fall, and planning on shooting at night for the first time. I need some assistance.
Photos I took from a game on Monday afternoon are pictured. I used a Canon EOS R100 at 1/4000 shutter, 55-210 mm f7.1 (I wanted to make it lower but whenever I did, the camera automatically bumps it back up) and auto ISO. These photos were shot in overcast weather with 0 sunlight.
I have been tryin

Is it worth going with the EOS R50 over the EOS R100?
I would never really recommend buying a camera for the brand - sometimes, if you are already invested in a camera system (sometimes brands have multiple systems, sometimes systems have multiple brands, but often system and brand are one and the same). Canon is a good brand, but they aren't any bette

Looking for a good camera
The ‘go to’ bird starter pack these days sees to be something like a used Canon R50 or R100 plus the Canon RF 100-400, which gets you a reach of about 640mm due to the crop sensor on those cameras. However even with used prices you’re over $1,000 easily. I’m using a Canon M6 MK II along with a Sigma

Which camera do you use for carphotography?
Hey everyone, I’m a hobby photographer from Germany who’s trying to turn my passion into a business — mainly shooting cars (about 90% automotive work) but also some lifestyle and branding photography.
Right now, I’m using a Canon EOS 700D, and honestly, it’s starting to limit me a lot. The poor low

Recommended Camera and Lens Combo for Personal and Business Use?
why do u want a full frame camera? limiting yourself to that means that your budget gives you very few choices i own one full frame camera and three crop sensor cameras. The crop sensor ones are better for travel. smaller and lighter. Modern crop sensor cameras are almost as good in low light as mod

I made a vow that I must photograph 10 species with my phone before I buy a real camera.
Is it too late or out of your budget to move up to the R50? Plenty of reviews available, but the general consensus is the R50 will give you more camera to grow into. The two cameras are more or less identical in terms of overall dimensions, but the R50 has a touch-sensitive fully articulated display

Podcast camera?
I build podcast studios for a living and almost always end up speccing Canon R100 kits with an ATEM Mini ISO or Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera bodies with fancier 4k gear (hyperdecks, ATEM TV studios, etc) The R100 has been a shockingly nice option. It's a very basic camera, but it puts out a nice i

My wife agreed to let me get the R50 over over the R100. Would you all be willing to help me with a few reservations?
Are you in the USA? If so Canon's refurbished program currently has the R50 on sale for $440 body-only or $520 with the kit 18-45mm lens, and the EF-RF mount adapter for $80. Also it looks like KEH has the AD-E1 hotshoe adapter available used for $30. The R50 is a far more capable camera than the R1

Should I upgrade to the canon r10 or?
It can be. What is it you most want to improve about your T7? How is the T7 “getting in your way”? What are your expectations with improvement on moving to mirrorless? Are you budgeted for lens swaps, too? The T7 was kept low end and used a ca. 2008 Digic 4 processor and 9-pt AF system to keep it ch
