What is a "small luxury" you treat yourself to that is worth every penny?

I bought the De’Longhi Eletta Explore machine, it’s expensive but it does nearly everything you want (hot, iced, etc.) and it cut out hitting a coffee shop in the morning and wasting $6-$7 for a coffee daily. Totally paid itself off, totally worth it.

What’s the best thing you did to lower your monthly expenses?

Aldi beans are undrinkable watery tasteless swill. In my high end DeLonghi Eletta Explorer, the DeLonghi #1 blend is divine. Buy yourself a high end super-automatic, or suffer peasant slop at inflated prices for crap quality.

How to choose the best at home coffee machine?

I recently switched to the DeLonghi Eletta Explore. Does a load of hot and cold drink so sounds like it matches your requirements. It has been flawless and the coffee tastes great. RRP is £1k but I got it during a sale for £750. There will be cheaper brands but DeLonghi best quality for fully automa

De’Longhi automatic coffee machines – which model to choose?

I have the De'Longhi Eletta Explore latest model (ECAM 45086 T) and still getting used to it. It cam grind fine enough to choke the flow. Over 50 drinks are programmed, but a lot of those are a joke. It does have cold brew (actual, not just over ice if thats a consideration.) Uses two different milk

What is the Best Espresso Machine for daily use as of today 2026?

I had a Breville double boiler for years, in fact, I’ve had two. The reason I no longer have them as they tend to break after about three or four years and they cost a lot of money to fix. I have had a Rancilio and I’ve had several other espresso, only machines and separate fantastic grinders. After

Bittere Erkenntnis

Oracle Jet - 1.5 month update

I’m new also, few days. Agree it’s a bit of Maintanace in cleaning group head and tamper (same time as JURA). Also agree the microphone could be better. It’s not as good as my DeLonghi Eletta Explore. But the thoughtfulness of the machine from where the tools are stored to the design and the craftsm

Espresso machine options

I have a DeLonghi Eletta Explore for everyday convenience. It's easy to use and maintain. These machines are good options when you just want to make a quick coffee with zero effort. The Eletta Explore even allows you to fill a travel mug, which is essential for me who doesn't have a lot of time in t

Which one do I buy?

Eletta Explore is really wonderful. Does a great job with low-fuss milk frothing, multiple user profiles, etc etc. My only issue is that DeLonghi doesn't really understand phones or Bluetooth.

After 6 years of espresso, I’m throwing in the towel. The toddlers won... for now.

You could get an automatic machine if you're desperate. My wife didn't like fussing with her espresso so she has the DeLonghi eletta explore, which just makes everything for you. It's less fun to use if you enjoy the little tweaks but it makes pretty decent lattes.
