You could get an automatic machine if you're desperate. My wife didn't like fussing with her espresso so she has the DeLonghi eletta explore, which just makes everything for you. It's less fun to use if you enjoy the little tweaks but it makes pretty decent lattes.

Don't use the scoop. Yes I know DeLonghi tells you to only use one scoop. This is a contradiction as the built-in grinder doses more. It all goes into the same brew chamber.
