Do you still use PC speakers?
I have a pair of relatively inexpensive Edifier 1280DB powered speakers connected to my mini-pc and love them. Great at low up to high volume and accurate enough for serious listening, even classical and Jazz. I live alone in a 1BR apartment so not worried about disturbing others. The bass is good b

Found this 2003 Sony 5-Disc CD player at Goodwill for $8
you either need powerd speakers, or an amp (or reciever) and passive speakers. I highly reccomend looking for a reciever as you will have more controll of how things sound, and can get better sound. if you want powered speakers, look for something like Edifier R1280DB Powered Bluetooth Bookshelf Spe
