Would you buy Google Nest Pro 6e again?

Works great here and had the best 2.4 ghz performance for my 90 iots. And I tried Eero max 7, Deco BE9000 or whatever the top model and the top Asus zen mesh wifi. Reliability has been great. That being said, the other top models have much better 5/6 ghz performance, but honestly 300 mbps is fine for

New Build - Ethernet cabling

Try a mesh system? I got a 2 node eero max 7 system and get perfect coverage throughout the house . In hindsight it was overkill, but mesh systems (not repeaters) seem to be quite good.

I went for it; putting my marriage at risk. (Gold Pro 10G)

No thanks. I was already almost murdered in my sleep when I dropped ~$1400 on four Eero Max 7 (After equipment trade in at Best Buy). I'm living in borrowed time now. Sure, when the Internet goes down - I'm the town jester and they kick me, and throw shit at me until it's fixed. But when it's up and

Question on what internet speed to get and price?

All depends on your usage. Some people run their network like a mini business IT setup and for that you want your own equipment after the ont. For the average person that just wants to stream netflix and play some video games the eero works just fine. As for the extenders I won't tell you what to do

What’s the one “boring” tech upgrade that quietly changed your daily life?

I have been using mesh systems since they came out. I recently replaced my older Linksys AC2200 with a Eero Pro 7 three node system. Really nice system and highly recommend. The Max 7 is super nice, but the Pro 7 is very capable and half the price. Handles passing from node to node seamlessly.

Seeing this BS at such price makes me happy to go with UI.

My house is 1500sqft. I had good coverage and got a reliable ~300Mbps pretty much everywhere with three Eero 6 APs. But a while back 2gig symmetric fiber became available in my neighborhood and 300 just wasn’t going to cut it anymore. A trio of Eero Max 7s would have cost $1,699 and would have been

Joining zen

If you go the eero max 7 router, this will be supported by zen, but if you go the route to buying your own kit you will need to support this, I have both the max 7 and the unifi UDR7 both support the 2.5gbps speeds, so its all down to what you want in the end, both are good routers, but the unifi ki

Do not underestimate Wifi 7. Simply amazed.

I agree. Upgraded my router from an Eero Pro 6 to an Eero Max 7 and the connection has been great on my Portal. Don’t understand why you received a bunch of downvotes but that just goes to show a lot of people are sheep and uneducated 🤣

Recommendations for replacement router

I’ve been having grief with my Eero Max 7 too. It just doesn’t like certain devices on my network and will randomly disconnect them and not allow reconnects for a while, and no tweaking has managed to solve things. Then the awful app and configuration limitations, I’m about ready to ditch it. Curren

FTTP installation question

Be prepared for modern wifi to be faster than older Ethernet, cat 6 and below. We have an eero max 7 and I've reduced wired connectivity with no issues - we frequently stream 100gb+ movies from our pc to apple tv. We have a 1gig fttp line too.
