Ethernet cable under carpet

It may be due to the WiFi access point you are using. You can lookup "bufferbloat". The symptom is when you have good ping latency when not doing anything else, and that ping latency degrades sharply when you have some heavy network activity on the side. You can measure that with some apps like anal

best mesh wifi system worth it for a dedicated home office setup?

Update: went with Amazon eero Pro 7 tri band mesh Wi Fi 7 router since it looked like the most stable option for handling multiple work devices without random drops. A few people mentioned it being a noticeable upgrade for video calls and consistency, which is exactly what I needed for the home offi

best mesh wifi system worth it for improving range without complicated setup?

Installed Eero Pro 7 3-node system a few weeks ago and it has changed our wifi lives. Stable, fast, gets signal to all parts of the house. Wood construction, so nothing too challenging there. I love when people are like, just hardwire everything. Do people understand hardwiring could cost thousands

Orbi 970 2 pack Weird Issues

Turn off ipv6, turn off I think it is called user access control, turn off upnp. Try it again. I'm using eero pro 7s after nothing but problems with 970s. Turning off Ipv6 at least me to be able to keep a connection for a few hours but never can keep a stable connection even with a wifi 7 laptop tha

This brand is honestly a total letdown. The quality is absolute garbage. I hope nobody ever buys from you again. You're going to fail sooner or later

I had to shut IPv6 off to keep any connection. I'm testing 970s I bought 9 months ago to see if any of the updates were progress from where they were two months ago when I switched to eero pro 7s which work perfectly. Slightly slower but completely stable connections, IPv6 enabled, no functionality

Moving away from Eero. Will my topology work? How would you do it?

i've done this exact switch. yeah your topology works - isp modem > ucg fiber > eero max 7 in ap mode. just put the eeros in bridge mode first. the ucg fiber is a beast. honestly once you see the unifi dashboard you might want to swap those eeros for U7 Pro access points eventually. the integration

Getting frontier… use their Eeros or my own?

I let the installer connect the "free" eero Pro 7. I bought my own two-pack of eero Pro 7 and installed them in my house using goCoax MoCA adapters. Everything is working great for me.

IPv6 Issue

Don't bother. It doesn't work for me on 970s in mesh either. I getting ready to ditch mine. Nothing but issues for almost 8 months and tech support sending new a firmware and nothing working consistently. Frequent drops, now testing eero pro 7 same locations and a little slower but haven't had a dro

How pleased are you with T-MOBILE fiber?

It's great when it wants to be but I am currently having issues with small internet stuttering. Ping would go from 2ms to 5000ms for a couple of seconds on both wired and wifi. I am using the eero pro 7 they installed and im on the 2gbps plan so im not sure if its a router thing or their service.
