I haven't hooked it up yet; I ruined a 25' RCA cable on NYE when I was playing and haven't ordered a replacement yet. It'll for sure sound better than the old unit. I would assume there would be no delay--mine doesn't have any but both should have a direct/pure direct mode that bypasses any dsp bein
